NHL94 2025 ROM by The Sauce

Seems like the Metro Division is making alot of moves so they can keep pace with the Jackets and that playoff spot. 😃 

It's a love/hate thing.  I enjoy the outcome but the work can be annoying when you think that there will be a break in the trade activity and have other distractions.  But, as we saw, recently, with Mikko Rantanen to the Hurricanes or even Luka Doncic to the Lakers, trade timing can be unpredictable mid-season.  Teams trying to get out ahead before the trade deadline.  Even as I re-posted last night, my fingers were crossed that "big activity" will die down until after the Four Nations Tournament.  TBD.

I hope that the Blue Jackets make the playoffs this year.  Even though they are a competitor, it makes for a good story given the tragedy of Johnny Gaudreau.  I think Dean Evason is a underrated coach as well. 

I'm a Rangers fan but I don't see them making the playoffs.  The Metro is too strong right now and they dug themselves into a hole.  Bad roster management and overpaid, spoiled/entitled little brats.  They need to focus on getting rid of lazy/disinterested and moody players and get some skaters with some plums in their bags!  Re-tool for next year when the cap goes up.

For anyone interested, the voting continues for the UHC and their new name and logo.  Below, is what they proposed as names/logos to fans.  The Mammoth logo that I am using is pretty close to what they showed fans.  Kinda hope it wins now.  LOL

Hey - been doing some travelling, as of late, so I haven't put much time into it.  With the deadline not far away, assuming there isn't a HUGE/EPIC/BLOCKBUSTER trade this week, I'll just do a updated release around that time.

I took off from work today and have been doing some updates to the rom as we speak.  Expect to have something posted over the next couple of days, before the weekend is over.  It's a work combo of moving players, creating players (in some cases), updating photos/headshots, ratings, etc. (for the UHC and Mammoth versions).  But, it shall be done!

Hi!  I just posted the Trade Deadline versions of my UHC and Mammoth ROMs.  Luke Schenn's new jersey number has yet to be confirmed as he is not with the team.  I didn't feel like waiting...
As #2 and #22, numbers he wore in the past, are both taken, I gave him #52.  He wore it when he was with the Kings.  If it ends up being incorrect, I'll fix it when I do the "playoff" version of these roms.

Guys confirmed as done for the season (Jack Hughes) have been removed.  Guys who are injured and may return before season's end or have yet to be confirmed as "done", are still in the game.  They are likely just not in the active rosters.  Up to the user if they want to use them.

For more details on the ROMs, please see the original post.  Make sure, if you are interested in downloading the ROM(s), to download one noted as "Trade Deadline Version."

Detroit is not in a conference, persay, as I did the playoff brackets based on regions like the NHL does for pre-season scheduling.  Check out the original post, on page 1 of this thread, for more detail and a screenshot of how the brackets work/look.  It will be the correct brackets when we know who makes it in and I post a "playoff version."

I may be the minority vote here but I kinda like the regional bracket thing for the rivalries.  When you do your playoff version, is it possible to still include them plus the real life brackets?

Given how the Rangers and Red Wings continue to shoot themselves in the foot (especially, the former), and Montreal's chance is anyone's guess (as they've been a bit of a quiet surprise), I'd say keep the faith.  The Jackets making it to the playoffs would make for a nice story.
