Active NHL/professional hockey players list

Recommended Posts

This thread was initially created in July 2007 to recognize all active NHL players from nhl94 and what NHL teams they play on.

It has since expanded to those players from NHL94 playing professional hockey anywhere.

If you have any info in regards the players listed below or any from NHL94 not listed playing professional hockey...let me know and I'll update the list.

Here's list of those active in/retired from professional hockey that were there in '94.

Scott Mellanby played last year. Don't know if he's playing this coming year, though.

JR superstar looks as if his career has come to an end.

nedved is in tampa, kozlov just resigned with the thrashers and barnes is with dallas.

AJ, do you have insider information on Nedved? I can't find anything on him being with the Dolts. I'm not disputing what you are saying, I am just asking. Believe me, there's nothing more I'd like to see than them spend money and a roster spot on a guy that won't help them at all.

I'm pretty sure Nedved's still with the Oilers, and that John LeClair is still a free agent. However, I wouldn't be surprised if LeClair retires.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain Nedved's last employer was the Oilers, but he is UFA now. Didn't know if AJ had the inside scoop that he was Tampon Gay bound or something. Can't have too many miles left on him but somebody looking for veteran depth might take a chance, as long as his model/actress wife is willing to move to that city.

thanks for the updates...It'll be interesting to see who lasts the longest from the remaining players.

I think the Oilers put Nedved on waivers.

Think the Flyers put him on waivers last season, which is how he ended up with the Oil Drop. He is a Group III UFA currently, so need for Edmonton to have put him on the waiver wire at this point.

I'm really gonna miss watching JR play. To those who aren't from chicago, or aren't Blackhawks fans, he brought real excitement to our team. You guys don't understand the situation we (fans) are in with Dollar Bill Wirtz as the owner. He won't even televise home games! No wonder hockey is dying in chicago like a disease. My friends and I are the only ones left! I'm serious. JR was a GOD in this game, and I can say I enjoyed watching him play since I was a young boy. Go Blackhawks
