Only 6 buds left playing professional hockey.

Five now, Slegr announced his retirement. Couple of hours ago.

Rucinsky's gonna retire next week or next month after IIHF World Championships for sure (sure=99%).

Sep 07, 2015 - 11:17 EDT

Mississauga, ON - Following the announcement of Alex Nylander’s commitment to the team, the Mississauga Steelheads announced yesterday that Alex’s father and former NHLer, Michael Nylander will be joining the Steelheads behind the bench this season as an assistant coach.

Nylander spent 15 seasons in the NHL with the Hartford Whalers, Calgary Flames, Tampa Bay Lightning, Chicago Blackhawks, Washington Capitals, Boston Bruins and New York Rangers, recording 209 goals and 679 points in 920 career games.

Michael joined Steelheads coaching staff yesterday for the team’s first exhibition game against the Kitchener Rangers.

Sep 09, 2015 Michael played for seven different NHL teams up until 2009 and recorded 679 points in 920 career games. He also has an extensive track record in league's all over Europe and retired from the game last year after playing the last three years in Sweden.

I was watching hockey highlights yesterday and saw footage of Tie Domi being interviewed at the Coyotes game.

Apparently his son, Max Domi, plays for Arizona...

and it's moments like those that make me feel a little bit older. ha

Anyway, I thought it would be kinda cool if we kept a list of active players of the 2nd generation of '94 players.

I've been thinking the same thing... and there are a LOT of them these days

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_family_relations_in_the_NHL#Parent-children

Tie Domi - Max Domi playing for Arizona

Mikael Nylander - William Nylander will play for the Leafs next year, Alexander Nylander will be a top-20 draft pick next year (possibly top 5, considering how well he's doing in the OHL right now)
Mark Tinordi - Jared Tinordi playing for Montreal's AHL team, 6'5" defenceman.
Thomas Steen - Alexander Steen veteran on the Blues
Ray Ferraro - Landon Ferraro plays for DET I think
Mike Foligno - Sons Nick (CBJ) and Marcus (BUF)
Paul Reinhart - Sons Griffin (NYI) and Sam (BUF AHL)
Dave Gagner - Sam Gagner (PHI)
Lowry Dave - Adam Lowry (WPG)
Matteau Stephane - Stefan (NJ)
Musil Frank - David Musil (EDM AHL)
Stastny Peter - Paul (STL)
...

Off the top of my head:

Max Domi

Sam Gagner

Landon Ferraro

Marcus Foligno

Nick Foligno

Alex Steen

But I'm sure there are several others I can't think of right now.

WIth more on the way like WIlliam Nylander and Brendan Lemieux.

Meanwhile Jagr is still playing. Jeez, this guy is serious about playing untiil 50.

Now please give this man a 5 year/5 million dollar contract!

But really, why hasn't no one signed him? Please tell me this isn't the end of his career. :(
