kidswasted Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 (edited) After working on it the past few weeks I'm finally releasing an NHL 26 ROM (which is an updated version of my previous NHL 25 ROM). Some notes about the ROM: 28-team ROM replacing Campbell and Wales All Star teams with Minnesota Wild and Vegas Golden Knights Quebec becomes Colorado while Hartford becomes Carolina Columbus, Nashville, and Seattle, and Utah are all excluded as they were further down the standings. I hope to rotate the two All Star teams with the best of this bunch(including MIN/VGK) Jerseys have been updated to match their current home/away colors Rosters are current through 10/30/25. I may have missed some add/drops but will look again as the season goes on Advantages for Home/Away/PP/PK/Offense/Defense have been set up based on each team's 24-25 performance Player portrait tool was run so everyone should have stock images Line 1/Best were set as close to real life top lines as I could get. Other lines are next best based on overall. @McMarkis hacks applied: No intro hack applied to skip the long intro screens 1-minute penalties Defense Control is enabled by default Pull goalie with L + R New hacks for this ROM: Enabled Body Checks for/against. They will show in the Player Stats page Custom splash screen applied by McMarkis Show real attribute values in Edit Lines (instead of seeing who's hot/cold based on 'feel') I've attached a CSV containing the rosters (I will add the lines and team rankings next week) 99min OT version also attached Thanks to McMarkis for his various ROM hacks(1min penalties, no intro hack, etc.) as always. I may create a Hot/Cold Bug Fix ROM in the near future. RT1977 Posted November 10 Report Posted November 10 I liked this Rom (as I do many various ones on this site) despite always preferring the Sega Genesis versions of all the NHL games. Lately I found a Good or abit better and more stable SNES Emulator compared to what I had in the past. Hope to see more updates for this ROM this year, and will also welcome from the more Sega Genesis oriented creators too pretty much any ROM project and including if they are also new Nhl2026 based season ROMs. But willl likely though still play the SNES ROMs on occasion. 1 Quote

Thanks for the kind words. I'll be releasing version 2 hopefully this week. I noticed after the release some attributes were too high or too low for some guys. 1 Quote
Star cecil Posted November 13 Report Posted November 13 hey it doesn’t work on Delta, when it goes into the snes part but when I click on it it brings me into the game but it’s just a black screen. I tried it on a different emulator and it loaded in, but that emulator isn’t good and I want to play it on delta. Quote

Hi I'm on Android not PC but it seemingly works fine on my Emulator called Snes9x EX+. I have No idea what Delta is. I really dislike the SNES emulator made by Pentawire, but their Genesis one I use and it's been okay for me. They recently added the missing Save States option to that one at least. NHL26v1.sfc 1 MB · 1 download The new file uploaded worked, however it only loaded the main menu right away , No intro. I Did get into the game but it was slowly alittle delayed with a "somewhat brief" black screen until in the next menu appeared to then play. Pressed start and I could play. That's all I know about it. I used Snes9x EX+ emulator to try it. Quote
smozoma Posted November 13 Report Posted November 13 The intro was removed because its' super annoying > No intro hack applied to skip the long intro screens 2 Quote
RT1977 Posted November 13 Report Posted November 13 I assume now that was a file intended completely separately just to work on Delta (testing for only Delta?) Maybe that's why it worked without a intro screen (skipped intro) on a different emulator? Quote

kidswasted Posted November 17 Author Report Posted November 17 Version 2 has been added to the original post. The only differences here are some attributes changing for about 20 skaters over various teams where they were previously either too high or too low. 1 1 Quote
