I was struggling to understand what you were saying exactly, but I think I got it now. However, I thought of a third option during that struggle that I thought would be kind of cool. You can make a Canadian vs. USA ROM with the REAL names of players from the community. Nerfs and boosts can be given to further equalize play a bit more. Then a best of 13 tournament where it's 2v2, but 5 on 5, where the coaches need to play with themselves in the lineup, but the other 3 spots can be chosen by the away team first, and then the home team gets to choose players to try to best negate. 

I imagine this being HIGHLY competitive, thought-provoking, and entertaining to witness. Therefore, it will never happen ... unless ... by some *miracle* ... Wait, is that ... Jesus?! @clockwise you're the only person that could pull this off.

and I'm #4, LH, LD! that's where I've played 99% of my thousands of real life hockey games, so in any ROM, that's where I hope I'll find me.

Yeah, I was kinda being cute about it, sorry if I was confusing... I thought equal ratings on the ROM kept it more skill centric but apparently some guys won't play because they like when skaters have different ratings. I get that. 

I think that idea is great. Seems like more guys get up for the USA & Canada battles more than anything else, since you're gonna be a King in the spring we should try to figure something out 2on2 there.

Got it. 

Rosters for all 32 teams are complete. Will update the topic and merge / clean up the thread once everything is finished. 

ROM is done for King of '94 XI, eve, this Friday, USA legends and Canadian legends will face off for the first ever, live, in-person, summit series. Bragging rights on the line in an Olympic year, for both SEGA and SNES... And for the rights to hoist 3D printed Stanley Cup.










   

 

I will do a final update - some minor fixes to do - and release v2 for the community and provide an info graphic detailing all changes.

That is a whole lot of goodness crammed into 1 rom. I can't wait to play it this Friday!!!
