aggression?

Do we know exactly what the aggression rating affects? Tendency to be aggressive with bodychecks? Take penalties? Get into fights?

interesting, especially if that's ALL it does. It makes me want to find another use for it. Theoretically, couldn't we use it as fight frequency rating of sorts? Where, instead of using the cumulative checks to determine when a fight happens, a simple check is made every time two players bump that compares their aggression rating (and a RNG is I think how you'd describe it?)

For instance, let's say Ulf Samuelsson, aggression 5, fighting 8 (lefty 57) hits Cam Neely, aggression 4 fighting B (11? Righty 71). A check is made to see if they fight. Add their 2 fighting ratings, 5+4=9. Subtract the difference in their fight ratings -1 as they are 1 step apart (I think mathematically you'd have to do half the difference, rounded down, since each fight rating takes up 2 points, for handedness.) So now we've got 9-1=8. Let's say there's an 8% chance they fight. (Obviously this number is WAY high, as this check would theoretically happen every time there is a bump.) We'd certainly need a better equation that factors in other things as well, but hopefully that at least gives an idea what I'm trying to say. 2 tough guys bump, a fight is likely. A tough guy bumps a wimp, a fight is pretty unlikely. A wimp bumps a wimp, a fight is very unlikely, but slightly more likely than a collision between a tough guy and a wimp, since it's a mismatch and they'd probably avoid the fight.

Am I making any sense? Is anything like this possible?

After an RNG check to see if Neely can still skate afterwards?
