Well it looks like we are all ready to draft, dmitry has set up the site and we can now start picking and keeping track of the draft on the GDL site, the order is set in stone, and im going to have toronto1cougar draft for kgman until he either gives me a list or gets back to do the draft on his own. Id like to start the 3rd round by Monday morning, so hopefully we can get the 1st and 2nd rounds out of the way in the meantime.

Wherever we end tonight, will be the first team to pick tomorrow at 10 EST Monday morning, so be sure to send lists in if necessary, i will be around tomorrow and be able to post.

How about we make the daytime deadlines longer than the evening deadlines? Most people I assume work during the day. Say an hour until 6PM EST, then half an hour until whatever time it goes to at night.

I'm on training this week, so I probably won't have access to anything during the daytimes...

considering how valuable a 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd round pick is, we shouldn't speed up the draft rounds by 200% just so hokkee can update his browser for the 500th time in the hour to see the next pick. considering people have jobs where they can't access internet OR a phone, i think we can all wait the same amount of time we've waited the 1st 3 seasons.

I also don't like the idea of lists for the 1st 3 rounds (or even starters). People change their minds, and sometimes won't be satisfied with what their list gives them.

If all picks have been made, a person doesnt have to wait until their designated time window to select a player.

For example, scribe's pick starts at 10 AM, only he may pick during that period, if he does not draft by 11 AM, only skoolyardpuck and scribe may make a selection at that point and every person there after must wait until their designated time to select until scribe has made a pick. If a person doesnt make a selection by the end of the round, they are automatically given the highest rated player and the next round is allowed to start fresh.

i'll give it a try. anyone want to send me the picks and take my pick from me when it's my turn? dunno if i have net access on it, though (costs ridiculous amount per kb, so i never looked into it.. 15c per txt msg is garbage, too).

does this work in canada? i signed up but never got the confirmation message on my phone. i tried sending a text from my phone to my aim and that didn't work either. i never txt so maybe i'm screwing it up, but.. getting 2 things wrong seems improbable.

Yeah it didn't work for me either, I think it's only for the people in the U.S.

All were doing tomorrow is getting round 2 done, the draft starts at 10 AM EST.

in canada it seems u must have rogers or telus provider and you have to access it through web browser.i only get windows messenger on my cell but u should be able to get text through email on comp to cell phone .u would just have to leave ur cell contact info with someone.example 6048759922@bell.ca to text me
