angryjay93 Posted March 1, 2008 Report Share Posted March 1, 2008 Well it looks like we are all ready to draft, dmitry has set up the site and we can now start picking and keeping track of the draft on the GDL site, the order is set in stone, and im going to have toronto1cougar draft for kgman until he either gives me a list or gets back to do the draft on his own. Especially considering you posted this at 10pm. And I'd like to stick with 1hr deadlines at the start, decreasing the time as the draft goes on. Say an hour until 6PM EST, then half an hour until whatever time it goes to at night. I'm on training this week, so I probably won't have access to anything during the daytimes... From there you can AIM someone from a mobile phone to make your pick. http://mobile.aol.com/ I'm all for speedin' it up. considering how valuable a 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd round pick is, we shouldn't speed up the draft rounds by 200% just so hokkee can update his browser for the 500th time in the hour to see the next pick. considering people have jobs where they can't access internet OR a phone, i think we can all wait the same amount of time we've waited the 1st 3 seasons. I also don't like the idea of lists for the 1st 3 rounds (or even starters). People change their minds, and sometimes won't be satisfied with what their list gives them. For example, scribe's pick starts at 10 AM, only he may pick during that period, if he does not draft by 11 AM, only skoolyardpuck and scribe may make a selection at that point and every person there after must wait until their designated time to select until scribe has made a pick. If a person doesnt make a selection by the end of the round, they are automatically given the highest rated player and the next round is allowed to start fresh.
