NHL 97 2009

It should be done over the next couple of days, sorry it took so long. The center ice logos were redone and Slapshot67 fixed all of the team select logos and removed the player cards and replaced them with some great animations. I added some graphics along the boards and 2009 in the start-up screen. The rosters were updated but I didn't change the player positions, so all of the forwards are left wingers and the defenseman are left defenseman. If anyone is willing to help me assign the players to their appropriate positions, pm me otherwise they'll stay as is. I'll post in this thread when it's complete.

You're right, I easily could, but it's time that is the problem and it's an arduous task that I frankly don't want to tackle. The players are there but they simply don't have a designated position.

Hey, Tonight on the website NesNinja.com I found I think the same NHL97 2009 Rom by SabreDance. for Download! Go take a look there for it if interested. 

I tried to Repost it on here and on this site but got a Error (error 200?) during uploading. But for play the Rom worked for me on a Emulator when I tried it though. I did notice all players on the teams were only labeled either LW or LD player positions though. Nothing else yet noticed that was that weird about it. I only played it so far for like 3 minutes though.

Go Grab it off NesNinja.com fast if interested.

And If you download it off NesNinja.com please somebody try and repost it in here for a Download if you can. I kept getting a Error. Maybe try renaming the file maybe or turn it into a Zip file? I don't know?

Yes, Cool that you saw my post here. I found the Rom last night by accident actually. They have all  the old NHL games on NesNinja.com and several have some mods on their that has appeared on this site. I think in the Genesis section here on the Nhl94 forum there is a 2011 one too. Also another similar one for the 2012 season. The 2011 one I only found on this site we are on right now. I was playing a few various Roms last night. Also I bought a game for PS4 on the Store that was 80percent off!  Good I Saved alot of money on it. I've been checking this site alot like you anticipating at least a update and of course the Nhl26 Rom

. Maybe he ran into some delay either because of course he is busy and maybe is trying to fix that problem in the Nhl95 Roms. I will try to be patient, not rush him and lay back abit. He has alot of work to do probably aside from just the Roms. I finally got some new food and groceries yesterday cause I was getting low on stock of food and stuff. Probably this project for the whole I think might take years I suppose. He said later he might go either way too to me so we don't know for sure. Or just maybe he will do 1914 next and then if we are lucky he might occasionally go in reverse and we can get 2025 soon also. Let's just hope he can at least  make Nhl26 to hold us over. Seems like you and me too really are very interested in his Rom project?

yeah i checked all the nhl roms on that site and it had some mods. i just tried the nhl2010 (95) but i was disappointed. no expansion teams were added. the creator had just changed the names to what the teams became. so no nashville, columbus, minnesota or atlanta available . and the ice was still blue. seems that you can make trades with all the teams though and the menus are a mix of nhl 95 and 96 which looked pretty nice. however this mod was not like ultramagnus nhl23(95). so that one was not for me.

mm yes there are a few things to fix on the rom so i think its better to wait a little to have a better result. but offcource im also very eager to play his 26 rom!

but i beleive its better to chill and let him take his time on it. it will come when he has the time and when its done

Ok I agree with you, I will Chillout and just wait. I can just distract myself abit  throughout the days and do other things more as we  wait. I just started writing and posting on here a week or so ago. I think August was the first day I posted on here. I've known about this website and forum for a long time. In the past I only owned a PC and would play the Roms on a PC instead of a Tablet. I don't play them on my phone though because the screen is rather small. My tablets are not exactly huge like a Monitor except my newest one called the Amazon Fire Max 11 is decent size. Funny to play on that tablet because the screen is almost too big to play for a video game type of game as the screen is close when you play on a tablet. I just use my older mostly and they are just right in the size of the screen to play games easily. It's sure nicer to play on the tablets than my Sony PSP I once had. I dont play PSP much at all, but If you ever want to get into PSP Roms and try NHL 07  sometime  if you want or can find it. I think it's around 800mb file size. There is two Gretzky games on that system as well but they are not quite as good as NHL 07. One version though of NHL I don't like is the Ganeboy Advance version of Nhl2002. And NHL 2000 on Gameboy color is kinda strange. Interesting the game clock in that game though is in real time. Same for GB version of ESPN National Hockey Night.

I will just try to chill out for Ultramagnus and not pressure him or rush him. That would be most wise I think as you had said.

If you want to try the NHL 2009 season Rom on NesNinja that's for Nhl97 actually. The 95 one is a different one. I didn't really like all that much the NHL 2009-2013 ones someone else made for Nhl95.

The Rom I mentioned was for NHL97. 2009 Season. Unfortunately though you can't in this one (or all NHL97 roms I think) do trades for the expansion teams. This one does actually have Atlanta, Columbus,Minnesota,  and Nashville however as teams to use. Also has one AllStar team called the 97 Stars. 

The Rom is on NesNinja.com and it's a Rom of Nhl97. 

If you want to do trades on it you can, but just not for the expansion teams. They are on the 2009 Rom though. All forwards however were labeled only as LW, and Defensenan LD. Only difficult thing about that is if you don't know their real positions in real life its tricky to discern that.

yeah i just played it and i like it  was cool to see atlanta thrashers in their light-blue sweaters and they are well done 👍

too bad there are no newer rom hacks than 2012 for nhl 97. but now we know all 32 teams can be fixed. 

too bad about the non trades for the expansion teams. hopefully someone from here will hack this game again and fix so all teams are available for trades

NHL 97 2011.bin

Here's the 2011 Season one also of NHL97 if anyone is interested. 

That other 2009 one is interesting because Sergei Fedorov that year was on the  Washington Capitals. 

I just noticed later that regular powerplays in the 2009 Rom are only 1minute long versus 2minutes.

I unfortunately Do Not have a similar 2010 season Rom for Nhl97. If I do at all somewhere I can't find it! If someone has a 2010 season similar to the above Roms I guess you could post a upload of it . 

I have almost never played much these Roms yet to be honest (the 2009 and 2011 ones). I tracked down both recently except can't find the 2010 Rom if I once even had it.
