angryjay93 Posted December 9, 2008 Report Share Posted December 9, 2008 I'd just like to thank everyone first for playing in this league, this was the shortest time period in which we have ever completed a league, so getting 95%+ of the games completed is a very nice feat to achieve. With that said though, I was hopping for more of a positive effect of the open schedule this season, but we will make the neccessary tweaks to the system to try and make GDL 6 even smoother. The final standings had a small area of debate among the commissioners, I did not make a vote, I presented the situation to Ice and Donch, they had different feelings, so i went to a 3rd party (Tickenest) to decide the fate of sebe, hokkee, and xdeath. In the end we decided to use wins as the tiebreaker for 6th as opposed to games played. So here they are, the final standings and playoff matchups. (1) Montreal vs. (8) Chicago : Chicago in 6 (2) Edmonton vs. (7) Winnipeg : Edmonton in 6 (3) Colorado vs. (6) New Jersey : New Jersey in 7 (4) San Jose vs. (5) Rangers : Rangers in 7 (1) St. Louis vs. (8) Phoenix : St. Louis in 6 (2) Buffalo vs. (7) Vancouver : Buffalo in 5 (3) Islanders vs. (6) Ottawa : Islanders in 6 (4) Pittsburgh vs. (5) Los Angeles Pittsburgh in 7 1st round deadline: December 15th 2nd round deadline: December 29th 3rd round deadline: January 5th 4th round deadline: January 12th Dont be afraid to schedule and get these games done ahead of time, i really want a smooth playoffs so the commishes dont have to decide anything in these playoffs.
