if the only change made was the menu why did we have to wait? i could have done that in 5 minutes geesh.

There was work being done to improve player attributes, but the project ended up taking longer than expected. In the end, decided it would just be best to go ahead and start.

  2. Rom?

And I have a question about league-play in general. Can we just play whomever we like, solong as it's within the 2 week timeline? Or am I limited to a particular conference or a particular number of games? For example, could I finish in like a month and others' games would continue for a while?

Keep checking for the rom guys, it'll be finished soon. As for games - look at the schedule. You have 32 games: 4 against your in conference foes and 2 against teams out of conference. Split home ice evenly. You can play the games at your pace as long as you keep up with the 2 wk checkpoints of 8 games. And it is possible to finish your games before everyone else.

  3. Over half the coaches spoke up and it was pretty clear. We will wait for a rom that's more up to date. I think in the end everyone will be happier with the changes being done to the rom. Special thanks to shaftman for volunteering to put the work it needs into it.

First off - I was extremely disappointed at the amount of non-played games in this league. With that being said, there were so many DNPs that some coaches would qualify for playoffs on DNPs alone. I felt this was unfair to those in the league who had made the effort and or finished their schedule. DPs were counted as ties that counted as half a point each and each coach who finished their schedule were given a bonus 5.5 pts (the average number of DPs/coach with DPs so 88/8). These were the final results, and if you're unhappy you should have played your games. DNP and FF points did not have an impact on play-off seeding, (which is why stan1sh and donnybrook are ranked higher then louie4teen).

  5. I personally think we should just wait

it would be a disrespect to shaft just to throw the rom out the window after all the hard work he has done

I agree with you guys to let shaft finish up the project, he stepped up and offered help when no one else did which is why I voted to have him finish. There have been a few other coaches who just want to get the ball rolling, and I can understand their reasons as well, so I wanted to see what the feeling amongst all the coaches in the league is like on the subject. I like to be a little more democratic with things :) .

  6. IMPORTANT TO NOTE - Subject must always be like this thread: (Team) vs (Team)

NYI (coach's AIM or forum name here) vs TB (coach's AIM or forum name here)

    NYI 5 vs TB 6

NYI 4 vs TB 2 OT

    NYI 7 @ TB 3

    NYI 2 @ TB 5

Doesn't have to be exactly like this, but please at least be sure to do the following:

    1. Make sure the teams are clear! Do not just post the scores, make sure to add the team abbreviations or else the numbers don't mean anything.

    2. Make sure that who was home and who is away is clear.

    3. Bold the winner.

    4. If the game is a tie - do not bold anything.

    5. If a game goes into overtime, be sure to include "OT" next to that game and put it in bold.

    6. Report scores with class, if you want to say a few words on your post about how the games went - go ahead. Just keep things in good taste. Almost everyone gets frustrated at some point, but keep it on the ice. Nasty post-game comments (on the forum or AIM) will be removed and the coach will be warned. 2nd offense may have consequences.
