  1. Are you retarded? Most of those have been FIXED. Get in this century genius. Either way, I'm sure your perfect little client has spent it's entire history without its certain fixes. This goes to show that the few flaws found in mIRC are fixed. It may not be native, but you can get mIRC set up with IPv6, although it IPv4 works fine, so you're just being a whiny b***h about this. Most user won't even notice or care. This completely opinion, and again you say something without any proof. What's new? Most of the time, this doesn't even affect the end user. Try again jackass. Zbattle does NOT support TCP, and Z-Net does. With UDP, both players are required to forward ports, but with TCP only requires one person to have their ports forwarded, and this is the case for direct connect as well.
  2. You haven't tried it since Windows 95? Has it not crossed your mind that perhaps a program could have change in over 10 YEARS? I think it's obvious you have not used mIRC in the last decade, because you STILL have no given a reason to why mIRC sucks. I have called you out on this claim multiple times, but you just defer it by saying "mIRC is crap". Let's see, you use the extremely vague and generic "buggy and full of security holes". Prove it to me asshat, anyone can say that about any program, but it means nothing if you don't back it up. mIRC is one of the best Windows IRC clients and you can't seem to accept that. How can you say the software is poor design? You admit yourself that you haven't tried Z-Net, or mIRC since Windows 95. This is the kind of blatant bashing I'm speaking of. And you're still loading two programs either way: zbattle and your IRC client, or Z-Net and your IRC client. At least Z-Net gives you the option to join other servers or channels if you decide to. The only reason I waste my time on you is so that others here don't get the wrong idea about Z-Net without even using it, as seems to be the case with you.
  3. See, I don't see IRC as a burden, but more of a improvement. IRC is infinitely better than what zbattle calls a "chat interface". Also, lets not forget the fact that zbattle development is pretty much dead. Z-Net is still being developed, so new features are being added all the time. And Z-Net does change the layout of mIRC, so it does keep it simple for new users (Screenshot), but ultimately, if you absolutely dislike IRC, Z-Net isn't going to change that. Though, I'd atleast say give it a shot before simply dismissing it. As for the license, mIRC says there is a 30 day trial, but it will continue to let you use it after 30 days. I don't get it either.
  4. I have used zbattle, and so have most of the people in the Z-Net, and we still choose to use Z-Net. As for reasons to switch, well firstly, Z-Net has a customizable chatroom with PMs, which, in my opinion, would work great with online leagues and clans. We also have a send feature that actually works, multiple protocol support (with TCP, the client does NOT need to have their ports forwarded), zip file support, and other addons are being developed for other emulators as we speak. As for easiness to use, I'd say Zbattle and Z-Net are equally easy to use, it's just different. How would zbattle with an IRC client embedded be any better? mIRC has 13 years of development that you can stand by. And you STILL have not given a SINGLE, I mean SINGLE, reason as to why mIRC is such an awful client. Yes, developers (I'd like to again clarify that I am just a mod, not the developer) can't expect all comments to be positive, but your comments have been more hateful than anything, and are just blatant bashing.
  5. I think it was obvious from the get-go that you didn't like Z-Net, so can you take your insults elsewhere? All I really want to do is tell people about Z-Net.
  6. I am just a mod on Z-Net, I don't actually work on the script. And my agenda? I'm just trying to unite online SNES players
  7. Still no reason as to why it is crap? It sounds to me like you are just a person who'd call mIRC crap and use another client because it's "different". Whatever, I have realized that you will continue to bash mIRC because you have some subconscious hate for it, rather than any real reason at all. Regardless, I'd like to keep this topic about Z-Net.
  8. How am I not a technical person? You're are the one bashing a program without backing it up at ALL. Until you give a legitimate reason as to why mIRC is "crap", then you are just a troll bashing mIRC.
  9. You continue to bash mIRC, but give no reasons to why it is "crap". mIRC offers everything the casual IRC user could want. And if it doesn't, then I'm sure that user could make or download a script that does whatever he needs for him. Back to Z-Net, yes it works. Quite well, actually. I thought the idea of a chatroom with the ability to play SNES online would appeal to you guys.
  10. The fact that Z-Net uses mIRC is a good thing. Customizable chat with PMs and the stability of IRC. If Gamesurge ever goes down (which is VERY unlikely), Z-Net can just pick up the script, and move to another server. What can zbattle users do when the zbattle server goes down? Get on AIM?
  11. Z-Net is an mIRC script that connects netplay-enabled emulators, to help you find and set up online games with other people. Currently, only the Super Nintendo emulator ZSNES is supported, but with Z-Net's addon system, support for other emulators can be easily added later. Z-Net directly connects emulators, as where Kaillera must send game data to the server and then back to the player, creating lag. Thus, you can play online virtually lag free with just a DSL connection with Z-Net. Z-Net is still in the beta phase, so you may encounter some bugs here and there, and there may not always be someone active in the room, but the script is fully functional and still very intuitive.Should you experience any problems, there is an install guide on the main page, and the room has friendly users that would be more than willing to help you with your problems.
