    solid season for the deer and i know he will be back next with some fire, expect an even better record out of this guy...when we play u should just flip a coin cause it's usually too close to call and tonight the gods looked my way but it was a hard fought series and after getting up i did not want to let him back in it cause he is quite capable of a comeback

    jota let's rock and roll and give this league something to talkabout, hoping for a great series and may the best man win...i have my comp back :) and u can msn,aim or whatever u want to get me, im around tomorrow evening pending any early drunkeness lol and sunday but lets get this done

    again great series to my boy and i am very happy with the showing from the cape as we represented 50% of the final four and almost 75 pending rudy advanced...let it be known the boys got game :lol:

    Edmonton wins the series against Detroit 4-0, maybe not that easy that it looks but we have to thanks Tim Cheveldae for his generosity :)!!

    Great performance by Paul Coffey, but Edmonton looks more agresive than Detroit!!

    We are now waiting Quebec-Boston or NYR on the Final cup!

    GL Jota!! Make me look good :) .... Slimey... I feel for ya man... Jota beat me down good too. He is the best checker I have EVER played against. It's just so hard to get anything goin.

    Some cool ideas Schwartz!

    Personally I find that the thrill of the competition and the fun times involved, just playing for pride basically, is enough of a rush for me............. if I was to win some sort of tangible prize, I guess that's cool too, but for me I'm really fine the way things are.

    The only prize that's totally NECESSARY in my opinion is the customized Stanley Cups for the champions of each league.......... which I think is the absolute coolest idea ever.............. even cooler than the idea of girls taking their clothes off for money.

    Deer... you know where I live if you wanna see someone get nekid.

    hopefully me and Blazer can finish it up tonight....Im goin out of town for the weekend, so if its not done tonight, then sunday..

    Terry (the94kid/nspenguins/biff/millimeter-peter) recently moved and he's having troubles getting online. He'll probably just play his games at my place, so energymike, if you could post some times you're available I'll make sure Terry gets back to you so you slackers can get your series done.

    NEW IMPORTANT UPDATE...Evan passed along info to me stating that JotaC and bobeto have agreed to finish up their 1st round series tonight. So the Campbell round 2 series have been removed, as we are awaiting that first round outcome. Have fun, hope it's another good series!!!

    So what happened with the series? I noticed there's a game waiting to be confirmed.

    Hey! Just wanna to send out a kudos to Evan on the updates to the site. I really like the new menus at the top so we can get to the REAL league without going through the GENS league :) . I also like the fact that clicking on Forums doesn't open a new browser window. Great job Evan!

    Great to hear Deer, and I see you haven't lost any skills.

    Shaka/IamBlurb... you guys gonna finish your series before the weekend??

    And Slimeball/cajanek.. you guys are almost there, finish it up.. Round 2 will be setup around Sunday/Monday.

    Since you didn't mention the EDM-LA and DAL-WPG series does that mean they were forfeit?

    UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!

    I just connected to Fenty!!!!!!!!!

    Does that mean I can connect to Pat Brady?

    I'll IMMEDIATELY fire him off an e-mail, hopefully he gets it by tonight, cuz ACK I am going away for the entire long weekend (Canada Day weekend in case you American fools don't know what I mean with the long weekend! :blink: ), and by the time I get home my ass would likely have been FORFEITED!

    Deer I'm convinced it's him. The first red flag about NJ is he can only play via TCP/IP (when the box is unchecked). The second red flag is I was able to connect to every single person I've tried to except him. We've tried on multiple occasions, both of us hosting, every combination. So if there is a forfeit I think it should be NJ that forfeits.

    NEVER QUESTION THE PASSION OF SNES NHL94 PLAYERS MAN. WE CAN MAKE LOVE TO 100 BEAUTIFUL WOMEN IN A NIGHT AND STILL WIN THE CUP IN A NIGHT.

    I do agree though as we've seem to lost some of our guys along the way and I think it may be coming down to the time when we just need to throw in some forfeits for the no shows. I commend the men who have managed to play some games and hopefully if all goes well, they can finish off their series by this weekend.

    I'm going through the list of those MIA and so far it seems that Winnipeg is the only one who has let me know that he will not be able to play in the playoffs this year. This is a poor place to get the message to you though Evan so I'll PM you the next time we bump into eachother online, or fire off an email :blink:

    Okay guys... let's get this done. Matty put his neck out there in defending us SNES guys against the evil GENS bastards. Do it for Matty! It looks to me like this is where we are:

    My controller for this game sucks!

    Can any of the top guys recommend a good controller for playin this game. The sidewinder sucks for this game

    I can't deke like I can on the Xbox or SNES

    There's nothing like using a REAL snes pad if you want realism. I believe you can buy a USB adapter to plug an snes controller into your PC. There's also the option of rewiring a controller to work on the PC (requires some electronics know-how). I used to play with my Logitech Rumblepad which was basically the same as a PS2 controller and it doesn't even touch the real snes pad. If you want a link to an electrical schematic for rewiring a controller let me know and I'll dig up the link.

    NJ and I have finally gotten into contact with each other, and I sent him an e-mail telling him that I should be home tonight and am ready to try to play him. Reason I say "try" is because I have been having tons of connecting problems lately......... my computer keeps changing the IP on me. Maybe if Schwartz or one of the other more computer savvy people from the league is online they could help me with that. Anyway I'll try my best to play NJ tonight and/or tomorrow night and get this series finished.

    NJ was actually the only team I was unable to connect to. Tried TCP and UDP, tried it with him hosting, me hosting, and all on multiple occasions. But with regards to your IP problem, go to http://www.whatismyip.com to get the IP address you should use when connecting. The IP that zsnes shows you is going to be different if you're behind a router.

    If anyone is a no-show, and we are waiting on their series, I would be happy to step in. My regular season record wasn't stellar by any means, but I feel that that was simply lack of experience in online play, and a lack of confidence. In fact, I won my last 4 games, iirc.

    Hmm ok, and Bobeto42 (LA) is in Germany until June 29th. The EDM-LA and DAL-WPG will most likely be forfeits. The others, we'll have to wait and see. Sunday evening, we'll see where we're at but I hope alot more games have been played by then.

    Well finally we have a bit more SNES playoff to talk about, as Rudy and McMarkis completed their series last night.

    I was totally bang-on when I predicted that it would go 7 games, that it'd go down to the wire, that it might include a couple of OTs, and that it might very well go down as the best of the eight first round series. Look at those results, I was right on all counts!!!!!!!!

    Except I picked the wrong winner!!! Congrats to Rudy on knocking off one of the better players out there under what musta been pretty stressful circumstances, OT of a wild and wooly 9-8 Game Seven. Leave it to Rudy to find a way to stay "relaxed" in such a tight situation. :) hahahaha

    Also huge is coming back from a 3-2 series deficit, not too often that happens. Rudy man you have totally proven me wrong in my predictions and as a token of apology, I pick you to knock off Jota in the next round!!! 6 games man.

    Anyway one thing I was right about was that that was going to be a deadly series, and wow look at it, seven games, THREE OTs, OT in Game 7, tons of goals, it'll be hard for any playoff series in either league to top that one. Having played against both of them a fair bit I knew they were about as equal as it gets in ability and that it'd be a nailbiter.

    Great stuff boys!!

    Now if only I could find New Jersey, we need to have all three of the CB boys in rd 2, and I wanna get in there the real way, not through Forfeit Road, aka "the back door". We all know that the only NHL 94 player from CB who goes "back door" is Biff anyway. :huh:

    Man this was an intense series... right from game 1. I should have lost game 1 considering I was down 3-2 with 16 seconds to play in the third. McMarkis is freakin awesome. I don't think there is a weak aspect to his game... and he excels at 1-timers and goaltending. I can't count the times I thought I scored only to realize he made a stupid save. Anyhoo... kudos to McMarkis on an awesome playoff series, it could have gone either way.

    i go to work every night at 8:45 PM EST. i work anywhere from 3-7 AM. i am free the rest of the day if i'm awake.

    everything will work as long as you are running asp.net version 2 on your server. i can't see it taking more than a day or two to set up. after that the possibilities are endless with what you can do with the data--leaders, recordbooks, awards, standings, owner stats etc. all updated automatically. lets get it done.

    .NET? omg I'm gonna ralph... unless asp.net is already installed on the server why wouldn't you just use PHP?

    After some extensive research I have come to the conclusion that kgman is the one and only..... kgman from the GEN league. Using a similar process I learned that Marc is really Marc from the GEN league. Who woulda thunk it. I hope this clears things up! Who do you have to play in playoff round 1 B-Dawg?

    agree...not sure why i got called for a forfiet against n.j. after i posted that we tried to connect and we would play the game with the other 2 when we finally get connected....and i recieved 2 wins for philly but there is a new coach now and i would rather play and give this guy a chance rather then punish him for takin a team and not havin time to get his games in...so basically i would like all 3 games changed and would rather play them out...ESPECIALLY the new jersey one lol and if you ask him im sure he will agree as we tried multiple times to play i dont want a tie,win or loss without playin the guy
