The Fall Classic league finals have been played, and man oh man, things got crazy! I was feeling pretty confident with my Bruins heading into the matchup with @schwartz and his Blackhawks. Especially after defeating @annatar who is arguably the best online SNES player. But Schwartz is a highly skilled veteran who always gives me trouble. We had split our season series which included a 6-2 Chicago win. On top of that, I saw that he had been playing a few warm up exhibition games against other strong players. Congrats to hazmat13 who won the SNES B league this year! He was a new player to the league. He was very dedicated by playing all his games and as the 14th seed, he pulled off three straight upsets to win the title! (pondhcky-11, Fenty - 10, shaftman - 12) Great job!

Hey everyone, As some of you have no doubt read, I was able to take this season's SNES A1 league title for the first time in my NHL 94 career with the Edmonton Oilers. With that, I've accomplished my biggest goal in playing this game and participating in this community since I first started playing exhibs in 2010 and competing in league games in 2012. After training for a few weeks while Boston grabbed their new coach, SJ fell, quite literally, to the Bruins in 3 of 4 games. While SJ worked on finesse and speed during their lull, Boston apparently spent massive amounts of time devouring everything in the New England area, boosting their weight to an average of 1500 lbs per man. It's unclear if the ice was cracking or it was just the foundation of the arena, but there was a distinct edge for the Bruins when it came to staying on their feet. The Sharks couldn't keep their footing long enough to set up any plays, going 1 vs 3 or 4 multiple times. It was only the golden stick of Patty "Ohgodwhy" Falloon keeping the series…

SJ had nothing to answer, and just kept falling like a pee wee team on its first skate. 3 late 1st period goals helped to even out the tone a bit for the Sharks just before the break. Upon falling to Bo's Buffalo Sabres 4 games to 1, the Edmonton Oilers have been eliminated from Spring 2013's SNES A playoffs. I'm certainly sad, disappointed, etc. but am proud to have achieved something that I proclaimed to this community last November that I would someday like to do... I remember when I started playing SNES NHL 94 in December of 2010, I noticed that Edmonton was among the least used teams among the SNES community in both league and exhibition play. Defending champ, the toxic82, started off where he left off last season. He's off to a 9-0 record! (of note: the longest winning streak that I'm aware of for online play is AJ's 27 game winning streak he pulled off a few years back.) only 19 more to go xot! Hokkee has collected not one, but two ties in his first 5 games with the rangers. Ties are a rare breed to begin with, but two ties are special. So special in fact that it deserved 30 seconds of my life to talk about. I actually can't believe hokkee hasn't posted that he quit SNES at 3am, then post that he's coming back (at 3:15am) and replacing the original quote with a smiley face (post edited 3:20 am).
