  1. Read the "Getting started" page on nhl94online.com. The following will be covered there.

Not sure what was in 2008, but download the complete GENS package from nhl94online.com. Includes emulator, kaillera.dll file for netplay, and hamachi in one easy download.

We use Hamachi (a free software, but you have to create an account at logmein.com) to connect P2P. It simplifies things to make the P2P connection easy.

Communication for games is mainly done with AIM (AOL instant messenger). So create an AIM name and let us know. I will add you to the group chat where you can shout out for exhibition games.

    Welcome back!

My AIM name is christco. I have never used AIM prior to this, though, so I don't know how to get into the group chat, either. Sorry to be a pain in the ass, I swear I'm not really stupid!

  2. Hi guys, I'm very new around here, but a player from way back. I've been playing on the emulator for a few weeks now and feel my skills are back up to the point that I'd like some human competition, as I haven't played another person for at least 20 years. So, how do I do that? I have all the software, the AIM account, etc, but I don't know how to find other people to play with. Who can help a brother out?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times before, but I looked to see if I could find the answer and could not. Any help would be hugely appreciated. See you on the ice, hopefully...

  3. New user here, haven't played '94 in a long long time. I found a website that runs an emulator and I've been playing there trying to rebuild my skills. I'd love to play some online matches, but I have no idea what I'm doing. I've never even used AIM, so I'm the newbiest of newbies. I'll poke around and see what I can figure out. Thanks for doing this, I'm super excited! I used to rule the couch in college. None could withstand my brutal assault, unless I was too drunk, then maybe. I'm having knee surgery next month so I should have tons of time to play then. Silver linings! See you on the ice!
