  1. Thanks bud. After this season, I might change up a few things to slow down GDL to once a year, and fill in the rest of the season with my own league that uses random ideas. As commish, I get a LOT of requests for changes that get shouted down as NO because GDL has a history.

So, if I pump out too many GDL's, I feel guys will start to get bored.

Having an alternate league that only runs when GDL is not running might be a good solution for the clamoring for variety.

Yes. That's honestly a much better idea than f**king with GDL.

Thanks for taking that into consideration

  2. You haven't ''shown'' f**king anything you god damn moron you just keep cherry picking s**t that fits your narrative then you congratulate yourself into thinking you got an argument there.

I mean either you're just literally too f**king stupid to comprehend that there's more than ''true random'' and that things can both have a random factor and be player influenced. Jesus christ it's like you have no idea how stats even work

  3. Well, yeah the CPU did. That's random (to me) because you can't control that. I know for a fact that I don't mash C checks. Many games I never even attempt any.

Because it isn't. You chose to get a player who can't check on his own. That's your roster decision, that isn't random

  4. And if unsuccessful check attempts were recorded I would most likely have the lowest or near the lowest. I don't get many unsuccessful checks, I definitely average less than one unsuccessful check a game.

The only time I go for body checks (in Blitz) is when players are against the boards. I literally never or almost never even try to hit people in open ice with a body check.

That isn't actual data. That's just your feelings/very limited biases experience viewpoint. Maybe you didn't but the CPU did and Svoboda will almost never get a positive check which will yield dumb penalties like ''slashing''

  5. Seth smashes checking buttons like he's having a seizure and he's surprised he gets lots'o'penalties lolz

Also to explain it to Plabax pea sized brain for the 992942230th time:

Penalties are also affected by unsuccessful check attempts which are not registered and unsuccessful checks yield more penalties on aggregate than successful ones.

  6. I disagree. As there are so many draft league champions who won with average teams, I don't like this argument. How often do you see a lesser player win because he was a better GM? And it's not like Depch and Zalex use TERRIBLE teams while everyone else uses luxury in draft leagues.

Also, there is still the case of Flasox, who would have an elite GDL team but get bounced in round 1 or 2.

And the main problem to me is the fact that they aren't superior players at the original game. They get outplayed but manage to WIN. It's a handicap. It's like being set back 50m in the 100m race but losing despite running at a faster pace.

Their teams are pretty s**t/niche usually

  7. Idk there's already some extra rules that are not innate and not proprietary to most leagues here (pausing, goalie switching backward skating) I get that it's thought to apply to everybody but in the late games there's probably not gonna be any outsiders anyway.
My primary logic line with this is always ''if everybody did it would it be an issue'' and I think it really would. But oh well I'm not organizing s**t so u guys do what you want in the end.

''KG had a penalty shot and he skated back up and scored on the PS''
    That's fairly shitty.

  8. I tried pushing for these for Ko94 but in the end we went with, whatever the game allows is fine. It's just easier that way, no drama about restarting the game or having the guy give up a make-up goal, etc. Just have to hope people don't abuse it. (Not that I would mind seeing rules for those... but it may be more hassle than it's worth)

. I get why there less hassle that way but if somebody wins the tournament/elimination game on that it'll just feel extremely cheap and it's eventually going to happen.
