Ok, I'll finalize playoffs for A later today, and get them setup on the site. If someone wants to make the ROM, please post it here, or I'll get to it LATE tonight myself AS for B, it was a horrible showing. Only 7 out of the 12 even justify making the playoffs for games played. I'll review the standings and WHICH guys played most recently. I might just go 7 teams, w/ a Round 1 BYE or something. Either way, all teams that played over 30 games are in the playoffs (we would actually like to create a playoffs that will be PLAYED!) I'll update this later tonight.

Blitz 09 Vegas Odds! Notes: The rankings are my own interpretation and the starting lineups may not really reflect the correct lineups as chosen by each coach. Ratings are completely formulaic Forward ratings were based on 3 forwards, with the first F getting more weight than the 2F, and more than 3F. Defense ratings were based on 2 defensemen, with the first D getting more weight than 2D Goalie ratings were based on the 1 G. Ok. Playoffs are setup for Round 2 in both A & B EXCEPT the Raph vs Zep series. Its the only unplayed Round 1 series. Raph is up 2 games to zero already, and I've been around hearing Raph try to ask for games. I've also been trying to reach Zep personally for GDL w/ no response both in AIM & PM Forum, so I know he's the one MIA. If Zep doesn't get his games in shortly w/ Raph and both Plabax & Ice have finished their series, I'll forfeit the remainder of the games and push Raph through. As for B, Skip vs Chaos & Wally vs Lupz should be both great series plus easy enough to get done shortly! Good luck guys.

Blitz B Preview #1 Wally vs #8 Skeletor/JJ I finished the regular season 24-8-2 and had the lowest GAA in the league. Hull finished the league 4th in scoring and goals. Hextall led with a 2.29 GAA. Skeletor finished at 9-22-1. He was led by Kamensy with finished 9th in scoring and then Modano chipping in. JnJ finished at 3-27. For him Russ Courtnall led scoring followed by Niewendyk and Bure but didn’t get the results he wanted with his speedy team in the regular season. In the past we all have all played each other pretty closely but in the last classic playoffs JnJ beat me up pretty badly. With the start of the playoffs I thought I would do the Blitz cup odds after years away from the game. (1) ANA - Plabax -2800 (8) FLA - Brutus +2800 Season Series: 4-0 ANA All time blitz playoffs: Never met Brutus has had a somewhat mediocre season and has had trouble scoring this season at 3.08 GFA and has really struggled on the road going 6-15. Plabax comes in with a phenomenal season winning 32/44 games, leading the league in GFA by a wide margin at 5.49 and boasts the 3rd best defense with a 3.02 GAA. Ok, season would be scheduled to END on 9/5. I figure a LOT of guys going to the tourney won't want to play Blitz just right before the Toronto tourney, given it's different style of play of the actual ROM, so ending a season on the 5th means the playoffs won't probably start for half of the teams for 2 weeks. Rather than have that, I'm going to put seasons END DATE to 9/20 at 3:00 am eastern. Any games submitted after that will be deleted. Playoffs will be determined with DNP's applied, with a few exceptions. IF someone is just a total slacker and ducking out and we can't find a suitable replacement, then I might remove those DNP's off that coaches playoff format.

Inspired by smozoma's Classic IIHF Rankings, I did a similar ranking for Blitz. I changed some of the rules regarding missing prior/future seasons -- mostly to keep everything automated (easy to update), and partly my own preference. The Rules At the end of each season, you get points. Now that I'm staying out from Blitz in the future, I will summarize my experiences. Blitz 8: My very first North american style league, taking over Vancouver with Bure, Gilmour, Corson and a defence of Weinrich, Langway and such with a sugar on a top with Hrudey. This was also my first full league after years of absence from playing the game, minus a Finnish xmas cup in 2013. I expected to make a bang with such an offence, but was seriously frustrated when I noticed that guys like Bure & Gilmour fall like a warm knife to butter vs heavy D, weight bug fix alone was something I knew of already, but the changes to checking resistance was not. Hey guys. I plan on NOT doing a 4 month long playoffs this year, and we had enough drop outs that we should do a ROLL CALL for who is returning. Given that we had some decent drop out, I'm sure a lot of replacement coaches are eager to get to a draft with their own teams. Also, it's the summer, and we could get it started enough to have a reduced pace schedule. With the pace of play that this season took, a layoff doesn't really seem to be needed. Hardly anyone can claim to be burnt out from NHL94 around here!!! My APOLOGIES. Swamped at work, and just found out where I'm going for Saturday night & ALL day Sunday WILL NOT have any internet connection. I used 1 point penalty for each DNP, and used that to set the top 8 teams in both A & B. This only played a role in A though, as zep's DNP's knocked him out of the playoffs. Then I used Points Percentage to determine the order. For A, here is how the series shape up: Raph vs Tex Plabber vs Fitzo Zalex vs Depch Tk vs AJ I have no plans to re-seed after Round 1. It's set for Tourney style in my mind. IF THERE ARE 5 plus coaches who object to this in A, I will change it to re-seed. B is not re-seeding regardless. As soon as I find time, I'll go through & try to figure out how to use the site's commissioner setup & get the playoff tree started. Minus Darko as a sub, only Jer flaked out on us in B, and did not finish his games and also brought down Probob full completion. Also kudos to Wally for turning Tampa around and going like 16-6-1 to make the post season (quick count). A strong thanks to AJ, TK & Tex for filling in & finishing most of their games.
