After playing a few exhibitions, I've decided to start Chiasson on LD instead of Musil. I also wanted Puppa as starter. If it isn't too late, I'd like it changed. Don't worry about it, if it will be a hassle though.

Did we ever incorporate the Y-button for goalie control? Not a big deal for me, but I'm just curious if we added it.

They already are in Blitz. You can compare yours to Classic and you should see 1 more agility and gloves/stick right/left
I didn't realize that. Thanks for clearing that up!

Are we gonna boost the goalie stats this year, or are the ratings as is? I thought I read somewhere that you guys boost the agility for the goalies in Blitz.

I have to confess, I cheated on NHL94. I thought that NHL 95 would be one better )-:
I promise it won't happen again.

Haha, no, just don't feel like posting what I put for each value..PM me and I'll send 'em your way.
That's alright, I was just curious (-:

I use my own set of formulas (my own bias...if I took the time, I'd come up with something that combines my own w/ ADP, but it's quick) to come up with overall for each player. Then I rank the top 4 F, top 3 D and 1G, give them weights as follows
1F (6), 2F (3), 3F (2), 4F (1), 1D (3), 2D (2), 3D (1), 1G (1).
Thanks! So, the formula itself is a trade secret?

Thanks for the writeup. Does anyone know what formula Raph used?

Finally, the 3 largest variances were:
Frank Musil, drafed #98 overall by Skeletor, drafted about 74 spots ahead of his previous averages. That's quite a large variance, but at the same time I assume Skeletor was valuing speed and agilty as Frank is 4/4 in those categories. Not easily found in a defensemen at that stage of the draft.
You pretty much nailed it, although checking was also a big factor (I look at him as the Blitz equivalent of Petr Svoboda). I built my GDL team based on checking and got slaughtered by the fast teams, so my strategy was to pick size and speed for this draft. I don't like rushing with the defencemen, as that leaves me open to breakaways, so having little offence from him isn't a big deal. I also picked up Chiasson, who I can sub in for more offence if desired.
The big question for me this year is if Puppa/Hrudey can keep enough pucks out of the net for me to win a few more games than last season.

If you were running the classic league...

The biggest problem seems to be guys not showing up to play. Maybe having a preseason where you have to play a minimum amount of games to be allowed in one of the leagues? That might weed out some of the guys who aren't going to make the time.
