  1. Hey Everyone, attached is the official SNES Draft League Rom! I finally worked out all the bugs (i think). So let me know if you find any errors.

Here is the list of teams and AIM's for the league:

    Boston Bruins - TheVal99

    Chicago Blackhawks - prodigyof94

    Dallas Stars - NhlTrippin

    Edmonton Oilers - masterof94

    Florida Panthers - Houlanov

    Los Angeles Kings - fenty62

    Montreal Canadiens - gihtarman

    Ottawa Senators - BobKudelski26

    Quebec Nordiques - PondHcky1

    San Jose Sharks - metzgerism

    Toronto Maple Leafs - drinnagh

    Vancouver Canucks - xgrad06

The league is broken up into two conferences. Each conference is broken up into two divisions with three teams in each division. The full season will be 40 games in length. 8 games vs each division rival. 4 games vs the remaining conference rivals. And 2 games vs the teams from the opposite conference. Due to the mid-season trading period, we have decided to make the first half of the season 22 games.

So for the first 22 games, play everyone in the league twice. Don't worry about which division or conference you're in yet.

The second half of the season will consist of 18 games against only conference and divsion rivals.

The games can begin immediately! Good Luck and have fun!

  2. Just remembered I was a late addition to this league because Cajanek was a noshow for this season, so thanks again Halifax for getting me off the waiting list and into the league! I was so excited to be given the opportunity to represent the St. Louis Blues, and now we're league champs!

  3. Here is where you will post free agents that you pick up and also the players that you are dropping which will become free agents....

Free agents will be first come, first serve for this opening season (No Signings yet)

Remember that a Free Agent is ANY player in the SNES version of the game

  4. The teams have been updated based on the results of the draft... If you notice any errors, please notify us immediately...

I have already noticed an error with the Florida Panthers, it appears they have 7 forwards and 3 defensemen... So I put Makarov in as a defenceman at the moment. But Houlanov, you will have to choose one of your forwards to drop and one defenceman to pick up.

I hope everyone is satisfied with your team. Remember that there is a one week trading period where you can also add and drop players that you're unhappy with in the free agent pool which consists of every other player that exists in the SNES version of NHL 94.

Add/drop players in the "Free Agents" thread in the Coach's Corner section

  5. The St. Louis Blues are bringing home the SNES Classic League Stanley Cup! After losing in the finals of the SNES Capitalism League, rookie coach xgrad06 is ecstatic to rebound and win his first ever Classic League with the St. Louis Blues! I would like to thank all the coaches for the ton of fun I had throughout the season, especially Mark, Jeff, and theVal which made the road tough for me in the playoffs, all giving me a tremendous series! It was very enjoyable to play in this league, special thanks to halifax and addisonbr for making the league enjoyable and run smoothly.

I will be back to defend my title next season and look forward to the challenge of a repeat championship... I know how rare and tough they can be!

  6. In Boston

    St. Louis 7 Boston 4

    Boston 14 St. Louis 5

    In St. Louis

    St. Louis 8 Boston 3

    St. Louis 7 Boston 4

    In Boston

    Boston 10 St. Louis 5

    In St. Louis

    St. Louis 10 Boston 1

GG's Val, great series, little bit of lag in game 6 which was unfortunate... still a hard fought and enjoyable series though.

I'm pumped to win my first ever Classic season! Special thanks to Mark, Jeff, and especially Val, for giving me incredibly tough series on my road to the cup.

It was all a ton of fun and I look forward to defending the title next season!

Nova Scotia takes the SNES B and A Championship! Way to go Halifax on your win and enjoy your retirement, although I''m sure we all hope to see you have a SNES controller back in your hands soon!

  7. One other question: when someone requests best available player, how will you decide between two or more players with the same overall rating? This was the benefit of the old draft system, that we were able to decide between two players with the same overall rating who nevertheless differed in individual attributes. I may want the faster of the two players or the one with the best passing, but you might just decide to give me the player who happens to have better defensive awareness or the best checking...i don't like it.

i'd imagine that if multiple players had the same rating, it will be randomized which one you get..... or perhaps you will be given the one which comes first in the excel sheet we have provided.... if you are unhappy with this method, you better rank your players in order that you would like them then.... and to answer your other question, yes the draft will continue in the order it was going in round 8, then return to the regular order for round 9.

  8. Fenty's pick can be skipped, Val you can pick now.... fenty will pick at the end of the round or if he takes too long, be given the top player available (by overall)
