  1. @lotsofskulls the one thing I can think of, after you paste a new player card are you clicking outside of the image box to "render" it into the rom then save. This was an issue I had early on that I noticed when changes weren't being made to my rom.
  2. @chaos amazing work with this project! Finally got around to adding fighting to my ROM and was super easy and everything basically went together seamlessly with the 30 team ROM (change a couple values in ASM files and change stick colour/add tape). The one thing I am seeing is when editing in NOSE, after all the error msgs any time I make a change and save, it will change the default menu items to Shootout rather than Regular Season which I have as my default. Nothing crazy. Just something I'm coming across. Work Fights 2.1.bin Work Fights 2.1 nose.bin
  3. @chaos another idea i had in my head was for the top net tiles 003 and 005 are different by one pixel, I could keep 003 and use that as a shared tile and replace the 2 005 tiles needed freeing it up redraw it to be part of the net with a water bottle and adjust the tile map accordingly...just not sure how to find that tile map to test it
  4. @chaos Code point to my new graphic..since the tiles are all mirrored tiles, I believe even drawing over them will still give me the same mirrored result rather than being able to have the bottle to just one side. Unless there's an easier solution?
  5. @kingraph thank you for the response. I had a feeling it might be a little trickier when I couldn't find the offset reference in Hex. @AdamCatalyst any knowledge on this specific instance? I shall keep digging. Thanks again!
  6. Hey @kingraph, sorry to reopen an old topic. i was recently dabbling with adding gatorade bottles to the tops of the nets and found they use mirrored tiles for both sides so the only options were to either have 2 on each net or have one across the middle but turn out looking iffy with 2 tops on them, like so. At first this was enough for me but then I had the thought of "uncompressing" the net images so that they wouldn't use mirrored tiles and that way i could get the bottles on the nets to be to one side and look much better. So i came across this posts tutorial and I;m pretty certain i have all the legwork done (image created in open space and all the tile layout/header info in order. Now the only issue i am running into is that i cant find the pointers for the nets. I've tried searching the offsets in the hex code but nothing is coming up, anything beyond that for finding pointers is beyond my understanding. Is what im trying even possible with the nets? Im not sure where to go from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Crown Royal Hockey Game net.bin
  7. @AdamCatalyst 😎 I'm glad you liked it. I felt it really fit the theme I was going for!
  8. I give anyone who wishes to permission to alter my ROM for any purpose at anytime, it's a bloody mess on the inside but it's all there. The base ROM by @Sauce would be alot safer and is well documented in this site as a starting point.
  9. Thanks for all the love on my ROM, as I mentioned before I built it on top of a ROM from @Sauce so I can't take any credit for anything other than the graphics I put overtop of his work. It sounds like you want his base ROM with maybe a few guys tweaked around which is really easy to do in the program NOSE.
  10. Hey @RT1977 yes this ROM was my full intention to make modded version at this time. It definitely scratched my itch but maybe in the future if I think of a concept and need that itch scratched again maybe I will. For now I'm extremely happy with how mine turned out. I might make some minor tweaks here and there, as far as adding hidden characters to all the teams I feel like it would take away from them being hidden and take away from randomly picking Tampa Bay and seeing they have Thor in the lineup.
  11. @RT1977 I appreciate the engagement with my ROM. I'll for sure have a look at those guys and swap their hands. Real easy to do in NOSE. Back in 94 I was only 8 and only cared about the Leafs and the .ain superstars of that era, my dad was a huge wings fan.
  12. @RT1977 weird I've had no problems with file extensions. They work great on Kega Fusion and GenPlusDroid. Thanks for the heads up though. Added ROM with added .bin Extension to main post
  13. @RT1977 Here you go, gave Conway Jagr stats and threw Dino back onto Detroit. Thanks for the suggestions! CRNHL94Master
  14. I'll throw him on top of Sheldon Kennedy since I've never heard of him 😁
  15. **UPDATE** With Gatorade bottles on nets Crown Royal Hockey Game v101.bin Without Gatorade bottles Crown Royal Hockey Game v1.bin Made some new background graphics and a couple other aesthetical changes to make the ROM feel more of a complete experience in my eyes. I really like the opening EA splash screen from @AdamCatalyst latest ROM, so start i replaced the stock splash with an homage to his where i reworked the EA logo (turned the E into a C and flipped the A around to make an R) and surprisingly it looks pretty good as CR Sports. Also swapped the Stanley Cup out for a whiskey barrel, because... for the culture of course. Team select screen got a bit of an upgrade. Banner went from VISITORS to AWAY and in the menu i switch TEAM 1 and TEAM 2 to HOME TEAM and AWAY TEAM. All Team Logos now have coloured backgrounds. I feel it looks better this way than the white background. Matchup Screen along with Edit rosters, Edit lines, Player stats and all subsequent screens customized to include the CR Sports logo to make the experience feel far more complete. Gatorade bottles added to the tops of the nets 👌 Finally I went through the suggestion to look into player handedness by @RT1977 and fixed all of the wrong ones. Enjoy this small update as much as i did ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally put the finishing touches into my ROM that i made for the guys at work. This ROM was built on top of @Sauce NHL 94 Trade Deadline Rom. I started it long ago and was a long on again off again project. I would edit some and then come across another topic on here to change or add something else so I would keep going back for more. I originally made the Crown Royal team on top of Hartford for whatever reason but then shifted when I wanted to make a second team and put them overtop of Wales/Campbell all stars. A big thanks to @von Ozbourne for rearranging and cleaning up stray tiles for me. Im sure I've patched this ROM with a tonne of things that i cant recall. There are some hidden characters on a bunch of teams and cousins and uncles spread out through Toronto and Detroit. Updated the intro screen with my favorite goalie ever Felix The Cat and changed it to CR Hockey for Crown Royal obviously My absolute favorite part is the selection screen, it took me a while to get it as close to right as I could. I had some trouble with this and finding the right offset for the pallette following the tutorial set out by @Drezz but that was due to my own lacking. Finally figured it out and was really the last step for me to truly finish this ROM. Two Crown teams the Crown Royals and the Crown Apples, to match different flavours of the whiskey. Matchup screen updated with Michael Buffer on the call to get the players hyped. Updated Islanders and Rangers on scoreboard instead of New York I and R, for my own preference. TSN branding on the scoreboard and Diageo on the Zamboni. I'm liking the white rink for now so that's what it is. Added our union for the advertising to seal the deal. Thanks for having a look.
