I know you wanted to make a draft stats league dmitry, but I havnt heard from you for a while
lol wow im off the site for a week and the league is already setup
any openings?
unfortunately no openings currently, since the draft is already going and i've turned away a few other guys.
since i know you will play, i will get you in as soon as possible. someone may disappear in the draft or once the season starts, or you can always wait until we expand. either way i'd like to see you involved.

Remember you must send me a list or have someone else pick for you if you will not be around at your designated pick time.
The first rounds will be slow, but the draft is scheduled to be complete by next sunday night.
The times listed are Eastern Standard Time.

If you miss your pick time and have no lists, then you will be skipped. You can come back at any time thereafter and make your pick. If you haven't picked by the end of the round, then a player will be selected for you before we start the next round.

and also, if picks are ahead of schedule, you do not have to wait until your pick time to select a player. you must be sure that all picks ahead of you are complete before you select early

Please don't edit picks on the board after you have made them. A pick is considered final once you post it on the board, so make sure you know what you want.
You can have Barrasso instead of Sakic since this wasn't clear

Sorry to pepper this thread but i had a quick question since i've never been involved with a draft selection league... how long do you expect the draft process to take?
the draft will move to a shedule with deadlines on monday, and depending on the schedule and participation will take about a week to 2 weeks

After an exciting random draw, the order of the first season in the Genesis Draft League has been determined.
This will be a snaking draft meaning the order will be reversed for each round, so if you are last in the first round, you will be first in the second round, etc.
We will be having 12 rounds, picking 6 forwards, 4 defensemen, and 2 goalies.

I will be on vacation from Nov 11th-19th, so Ill just send you a draft list.
How many players should I put on the list and where can I email it too?
well if you are going to miss most of the draft, you would need a huge list to cover every possibility. i would send a list of your top players at each position and note what your priorities are. After the first 2 or 3 rounds you might want to have someone draft for you, or let me pick the best available guy for you. hartman.donald@gmail.com is my email

Live Chat? (very hard to coordinate, but leads to best lineups)
Draft Via the Forum? (take turns on the forum. This would take a long time)
Paper Draft? (everyone submits on paper)
Other method?
it will be a scheduled draft with deadlines for picks. i will set it up once the signups are complete.
draft picks will be done here on the forum, and the database will be regularly updated so there will be no confusion on who has been picked.
if a deadline is missed, and the person has not designated someone to pick for him and has not sent or posted a list, then the person will be skipped. the skipped person may pick anytime after he has been skipped.
i have lots of experience with similar drafts, so i don't anticipate too much of a problem unless we just have no participation.

yes by all means you can pick at your scheduled time regardless of what happens in front of you. if anybody before you hasn't chosen they are skipped.
