LupDiggah Posted April 19, 2024 Report Posted April 19, 2024 (edited) Hey everybody, Just wanted to share this project I made after discovering NOSE. Using the rosters from NHL 98 as a template I reworked the rosters back to the opening night of the 1996-1997 season. Of course every goalies handedness needed to be flipped since they were all wrong in the final 2 Genesis releases of the series. Many players including Lindros were the wrong hand, all of which have been corrected. All missing rookies are included since they weren't in NHL 97. Stats should be true to the season as the ratings from NHL 98 were used. Hope everyone is able to enjoy this and I appreciate your interest in advance. Thank You NHL 97 Opening Night.bin Edited December 1, 2024 by LupDiggah 1 1 2 Quote
Thornton97 Posted November 25, 2024 Report Posted November 25, 2024 Dear colleague you have done a good job on the mod corrected the grip of clubs to many players, but there are nuances that should be paid attention to in the future. For example, the elite defenseman Ray Bourque from the club Boston with a rating of 80, in NHL 96 and NHL 97 his rating is 99, first of all the rating itself is greatly underestimated incorrect player weight 188, should be 220 and other parameters too. Defenseman Al MacInnis nicknamed “Lumberjack” his shot strength should be 99 (At the time he had the strongest shot in the league). In the game his strength is 40. Overall the NHL 98 game in my opinion was skewed by incorrect ratings. Therefore, since we make mods data should correspond to the players. 1 Quote
LupDiggah Posted November 27, 2024 Author Report Posted November 27, 2024 (edited) Hey Thornton97, I was unaware of the botched ratings from 98. I appreciate you bringing them to my attention. If I get around to making an update or an Opening Night 98 I will definitely take a second look at player ratings from 97 to see who and what makes the most sense. Bourque and MaCinnis will be top priorities for a 97V2. Was there any other glaring mistakes in ratings you would recommend adjusting? Thanks for your feedback I may have never noticed. Thornton97 Posted November 29, 2024 Report Posted November 29, 2024 Thank you colleague for your reply very much appreciated. Of course there are a lot of details where I would like to make changes. I even addressed some questions to the most competent colleague of this site Smozoma, you can read in the NHL 97 section (NHL 97 Rating), I would like to see more accurate player ratings. I'm not good at the graphic part of the game unfortunately, mostly I like to create and edit rosters. Although team ratings do not affect the game itself when players move from one team to another, but unfortunately I can't find an offset for the team rating editor. Quote
LupDiggah Posted December 1, 2024 Author Report Posted December 1, 2024 (edited) Post has been updated with V2. Bourque has been copied from NHL 97 and has proper weight and ratings. MaCinnis has had his shot power changed to 99. It wasn't even set at 40 it was past 99 I believe and wasn't rating properly he dropped from 78 to 77 overall from this somehow. If anyone has any other requests to ratings let me know and I will try to fix them up for you all. Thanks again! Edited December 1, 2024 by LupDiggah Quote
