HaHa, LMAO! Absolutely, always and just Platonically! Never ever expected that word to even be used in the first place in a reply by the way! Here's a joke, perhaps Fighting can therefore be included in the Rom! We can all certainly therefore keep this 2v2 Rom and any love for it always platonic "Non sexual and Non H-MO" of course! 😆

Though the decision is up to you I personally would far prefer the latter idea for franchise players and rosters. Meaning much more than only 2 named selectable players per team!

Just some general feelings for the Rom.... But First a question? How many different players per team do you plan or would be willing to add to this Rom? And a Second question? Is a 20th anniversary Rom mean exactly the last 20 years of different players for each team? I myself would prefer to see a fairly large quantity of players per team to chose from (basically a near full roster), though still if it's only a 2 vs 2 Rom than obviously only 2 players can be selected and used at one time. For the ratings of players I prefer different non cloned ratings of players. At least a relatively accurate skill level and traits of each included player would be nice to see. Prefer most players be each franchises best or the more typically most significant contributing players. I prefer all of the major orignial teams be included except some of the expansion teams? For skaters of each franchise just pick some good to best ones, but keep the quantity of different players on a more higher level than only a sparse amount if that's possible? For me wide-screen is fine but is not a necessity. The newly added Fighting feature can be a Option for this Rom, though personally I don't care much for it (in fact haven't even tried it yet) and if omitted I personally wouldn't care! Though many may disagree with me on that! LOL! That's about all. Except only one other thing I would want to see someday is this same future 2 vs 2 Rom also have a seperate regular 5 on 5 version as well! That's too much to ask as it's beyond your plan but that's because I just play alone against the Cpu and not ever in any 2 player versus tournaments! Last question? Is this strictly a 2026 based season Rom, or based on the last 20 years since your original released 2 vs 2 Rom?

I myself play NHL94 on tablets and use a different emulator than Retroarch. Assuming you use a Android device I guess in the meantime you could try this Rom with a different emulator? I personally use the Emulator called EmuMD XL by Pentawire for my Sega Genesis Roms. It works well enough for me and the wide-screen versions work just fine on it. I don't know much about Retroarch though it's a fine emulator I bet. I however like the emulator I use better because it's a nice small sized program by comparison. EmuMD XL for just the Genesis games only takes up alittle over only 20Mb of space or so. Fairly recently a Save game feature was finally added to this emulator i use that was for a long time originally missing. Maybe you could try this emulator i had mentioned (or another) if Retroarch isn't working with this wide-screen Rom correctly?

My only problem I have so far with this new version (v2.20) is a major error and a freeze with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks team while editing any forward within Edit Lines. Maybe it can be fixed after the holidays and after new years?

I think it's based off Nhl94 SNES version. I will download just to make sure.

Thankyou Ultramagnus. I do appreciate your reply. It's helpful and I can be patient. Just needed to ask you again as it's been awhile since I've heard from you last. Its all fine, as i understand you better now and you can move at your own pace with the Roms. Nice to know they are still in the works too, but I can understand it takes time to complete the Roms and also it can take longer when under life stress and the reality that entails in the real world. Thankyou Sir for your reply and it's alittle more helpful to at least hear from you again about this project. I can relax and give you a break now. And Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

Ultramagnus, has this Vintage Roms project been Cancelled, put on the Backburner, or are you still working hard on it? Also is Nhl26 still gonna ever be released? Me, as well as Octopolus and others are interested and would like any updates and some basic info on the status of this Rom project?

Thanks for releasing this version and overall release. You and the other guy who worked on this kinda even beat the weekend for its release! I Noticed it late or even maybe it was early morning last night and downloaded it immediately.

Thankyou for the updates to this. I'm also very happy to see the players with now fixed and corrected handedness as well. Seems so far that everyone is correct now. Those early mistakes were not even yours as the original base used was from The Sauce.

Wow, i cant believe i have discovered after all this time for the first time my username was used for a player for the NHL95 team in this Rom. My username is used fpr a RD Defensive position player on the second line and am #20. I just tried this Rom again and never ever realized this before! I can't believe me of all people would be used and associated in a fantasy game Rom. Oh yes I never was a hockey player so this is so funny and surprising to see!

I do not think a real time clock is even possible in 95. But in 94 someone got it to work. Perhaps just maybe some Roms made in the future for Nhl94 could be adjusted to offer a version with a real time clock. For Nhl95 ihighly unlikely to most likely impossible?

Hello. Hope you are okay and are well? I will give you time to reply to everyone and I will ease back. I think i can do it! I hope you are alright. If you ever do need more downtime or need to even postpone or cancel this project for any reason (I'd hope Not though) you can let us know if that ever were to happen. I'd hope to see at least Nhl26 get finished though if you cannot continue this project. I hope you are safe and just working or working hard on the Roms as well. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and lay back abit for you till we all here back hopefully sometime in the future. I will distract myself abit just in case its awhile for you to get back in touch with us or if you ever need to change your plans if you would need to by chance. We all hope to at least see Nhl26 though. I would be happy as a clam particularly if any to all the 1989-2026 etc Era season's can get completed. 😀 I hope you are safe and okay.
