It would indeed be nice to see a Trade Deadline Roster Update of this Nhl95 Rom. It might be alot to ask for along with also those particular "Tedious" to fix past issues brought up by people. It would all certainly be very nice to see of course. 🙂

On the Standard Resolution version 5.0S Rom I noticed with the Vegas Golden Knights Team in Edit Lines that player #71 William Karlsson is only selectable as a Defenseman. In Real Life I think he was always a Forward and a Center? Likely just a simple mistake made while editing and making the Rom?

Okay Good. Really the main thing I just hope can be fixed in this Rom is the correct player handedness of several players. And hopefully that other issue some day can be corrected. Who knows. I think its just a issue or something that they haven't found yet a fix or work around with Mods of Nhl95.

The issue definitely occurs only in games with trades. I just tried it and it duplicated exactly the problem in your screenshot during games with trades. But in regular games mode i could edit the lines just fine.

Probably the issue has something to do with just the expansion teams. Season mode for example seems to only allow 26 teams i think and the other teams might be buggy? That same problem that was in the early Ultramagnus Roms must still exist? Try regular games with without games with trades and see if that stops the freezes? I lately have been releasing some of the top players from teams like Nashville and San Jose (I've been playing against these teams) and have not had any freezes or problems yet despite that. I often play games with trades but am usually a major team versus a expansion team. The only time I noticed a freeze is when I play games with trades while being the NHL Allstar or Legends Teams when playing a game with trades versus a expansion team. My own main concern in the Rom was the incorrect player handedness issue. So Sorry to hear that this Rom has been freezing on you Octopolus! I do not use Retroarch as my emulator. I actually play on one of several of my Amazon Fire HD tablets to play the Roms. I actually personally for Sega Genesis Roms Emulation use a Android emulator called EmuMD XL by Pentawire. It's a nice small size emulator too as it only takes up 20MB of space installed. Since most of my own tablets only have both either 32GB and 64GB storage with all the other stuff installed the smaller emulator is nice to have in my case.

It would be great to see a Milano Cortina Olympic Rom for Nhl95! I also noticed today you just released a Rom of the Nhl26 season based on Nhl95.

Very nice to see a New Rom. Also for the 2026 season, and based off Nhl95! My only main issue (for me anyway) I have noticed is various players had the wrong handedness (many other Roms have this issue sometimes). Very much noticed it on the NHL Legends and Allstar teams players. But also some players on the 2026 teams such as Brady Tkachuk, Sam Reinhart, Rakell, etc. Several players have the wrong handedness. Sam Reinhart on Florida is also accidentally named Sam Reinhast. I'm very glad however to see this type of Rom and also being another New Rom in general too being released and at this very point in time. 👍🙂

It will be Nice to see a updated Version 2 someday soon. I live in Massachusetts so we have a NorEaster today. Looks like according to your profile you live in New Hampshire. Not sure how Bad the weather up their will compare. I am looking forward to both your Version 2 and Von Ozbournes next updated version of his Milan Olympics Rom as well whenever they might be uploaded.

I have Found a first error with this Olympic Rom. It's some issue with the Edit Lines screen for the Women's Team Canada. Only team with this problem I have noticed so far. Only noticed this as I tried the Women's teams for the first time. As the women's Team USA will play women's Team Canada today. Must have been a inspiration to try it. So I first started with Canada as i saw a commercial for the Olympics today again too that showed Sarah Fillier and another player named Blayre Turnbull. When selecting a player within the Edit Lines screen for the Womens Canadian Team the names get garbled and messed up when scrolling. With someone named "Kristin 0" #43 showing up multiple times and some other players garbled with multple players highlighted within a Black background color. Often results in a Illegal Instruction Error. This probably will likely need to be Fixed. #43 is Kristin O' Neill. The Error appears to have something to do with this player! This player even scored the 1st goal in the game today. Looks like they are unusable in this Rom right now do to the error. Hope the issue can be fixed in the next update? Well..just saw that Canada (the Womens team) lost in Overtime to Team USA. I Hope you can still fix the 2026 Women's Team Canada Edit Lines issue in this Rom though regardless. 😁

Thanks for the Reply. I just graduated High School the same year when Nhl95 came out on both the Genesis and PC. For me the Console version is much easier to play. But I think one of the better features of the PC version of NHL Hockey and Nhl95 is it has 4 Full Lines of players for line changes, while Genesis just has 3 Lines because of the limits of the 3 button controller. Nowadays for the Newer NHL games I do have Nhl24 (and a few earlier iterations) for my PS4 systems, but haven't yet stepped up to the PS5. I might finally get a PS5 (as it's been out for 5 years now) but got to save my money for several months if i do! Probably it won't be till the Summer or something by the time I could get one. Probably will aim to get the PS5 Pro version actually. 200 or more dollars more than the standard system. It's pricey for a game console so if i go for it i got to save up. I usually liked to mainly play the various Flight Simulator Airplane oriented ganes when I had a PC for both Dos first, and then Windows. Funny that most of the time that's the kind of games I would buy or played most on my PCs. Today Aside from Old Emulated Games (mostly the old Nhl Hockey Roms) and Android games, I spend the rest of the time otherwise on my PS4 consoles and play my various games on it. According to your profile on here you like Music and Guitar? I don't play guitar in real life but love music and particularlly guitar music. I sometimes play around with those silly simplified Android Guitar apps and can play okay on them, but I never picked up a real guitar in my life other than a Acoustic. I like Electric guitar best. I like guitar solos alot too. I like the Overdrive sound, Clean Electric, and Acoustic. Not as huge into Distortion and Rythmn guitar though , but I like some of the Metal and Hard Rock groups however. At least for listening, Guitar in general is probably my favorite musical instrument. I listen to alot of music basically daily, but with just headphones because I live in a Apartment. I like some other instruments too, but used to be only able to play in real life a piano. I gave up piano lessons and recitals in the early 90s once I got into buying my own music. Most in my collection being Rock oriented music and bands. Mostly I like best both 80s and 90s Era bands and music with some exceptions. Some 1970s music is okay, but it's more before my time and i own only a few records from that Era, but not very many. But yes I was born way back in 1977! Sorry for my long reply!

For a quick answer for you I do know for sure about the SEGA part, so Correct. I tend to visit this site alot daily more than most. Though of course Ultramagnus knows best about all his own ROMs and projects as he makes them. Still not sure about the PC version though, just SEGA. I have once bought and played NHL95 for the PC MsDos before back even in the Era when it came out. As well as the former NHL Hockey for PC. I owned a 486 33mhz processor computer at that time. Over the modern day years I have used the Dosbox Emulator. But I personally do not play any Hockey oriented games for the PC anymore for a long time. I don't even own a Real actual PC anymore. But for the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo Roms I surely do and play them just on my Android Tablets instead. I really very much look forward to his release of his 1909-present day Sega Roms project. Well for PC NHL rosters there was/is definitely some guy on here that has made Roster updates specifically for Nhl95 PC version though, but sorry that i do not recall who exactly he was.

Hi, nice to see you get back to even trying any Nhl94 Rom? Try version 0.91 instead of that last recent 0.90 version. What team would you like to play as most or as your best? On this Rom I tend to usually be both either Team USA or Team Canada in this Rom. But so far only tried the Male teams of them. They have the Women's teams on this as well. I did watch some of the Team Sweden versus Team Italy game however. For the Rom I haven't had any freezes with this so far.
