    Thanks to all who have finished their schedules. The regular season will end at midnight on August 25th. I know some coaches aren't quite up to par with the last checkpoint: please start catching up - the final stretch isn't a time where coaching changes will be made. This weekend I was very busy and I will have an update later today. Finish your seasons and goodluck.

    my dad bought it when i was really little... i used to play 95 all the time when i was little... dont know why... now 94s my favorite

    Same here, I remember being about 6 or 7 and playing 94 with my dad while he tallied up the score. I still have that first cartridge and have kept it in mint condition throughout the years, it was the only game that the dog didn't mistake for a milk-bone... NHL 95 lol - the dog layed some gnarly dog bites into that. Maybe when I'm not feeling lazy I'll take some pics lol.

    Welcome to Week 5

    A few things as we start into Week 5 and the regular season is winding down.

    Please finish games - even if playoffs look slim for you try to be respectful of me and the coaches in your league by finishing your schedule. A game missed can mean the difference of qualifying for the post season for another coach. If you are having a hard time contacting coaches you still need to play, post an availability thread on the 94/09 general discussion area (just let the coach know you are looking for him and the best times to find you on). FF's and DNP will be awarded appropriately if necessary. Forfeits will be 1-0 scores and will be awarded at the end of the regular season if one coach as made an effort to play and the other has not. DNP will award each coach with a 0-0 tie and 1 pt each - DNPs will be awarded at the end of the regular season if both coaches made a good effort to play but things could not work out due to conflicting schedules.

    Next checkpoint is this Monday August 10th at 10 pm EST with 22 GP. The next checkpoint after that I'm thinking will be August 24th to have all games completed. Play-offs will start shortly after with 8 teams (top 4 in the West and top 4 in the East). Seeding for each conference will be: 1st place vs 4th place and 2nd place vs 3rd place. Round two of the play-offs will be the conference finals of the two winners to emerge from round 1 and of course the Stanley Cup Finals afterward. Each series will be a best-of-7.
