  1. I like your version better than the other one because I felt the other one played too fast and arcade-like and I was scoring way too much. As with the above poster, I am also a Pens fan, and now they have gone back to their older 1980s/early 1990s uniforms for both home and away, and would like a way to be able to change it in the game to reflect this.

  2. NHL17 ROM coming along nicely, added rookies and already d'loaded all the player cards I plan to add! I will work with Slapshot67 on the other graphic updates, mostly for Toronto, Florida, and Pittsburgh logos. Looking to release the ROM a few days before the season opener!

Cool. Just wanted to mention if you didn't hear already, that the Pens are going back to their 1980s/early 90s uniforms. They are making the black/yellow ones permanent home jerseys (only used for a dozen regular season games and playoffs this past season), and was announced just a couple weeks ago that they are going back to their white/yellow road jerseys of old (substituting the yellow for the cream color they used the past decade). Just wanted to throw that out there :)

  3. I'd use NOSE - http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php/topic/14217-nose-12b-download/

Just copy/paste the 2nd goalie over the 1st and vice versa.

Thanks. I would like to, but I downloaded the 2016 playoff version rosters, and when I try to open it in NOSE, I get an error message (maybe because it was edited so much, it did something to make it not compatible). I was able to edit the lineups using a hex editor thanks to the tutorial, but can't find anything about the starting goalie hex edit.

  4. It's just too bad that it had to end here. They really had something special. The gameplay engine was perfect. I just hope that one day the source code is released so that this great series can be revived. Is there anything Mark Lesser can do? It would be great if he could use the source code to update this, while keeping the same game engine. Even if there are logistical issues, such as EA's ownership, why can't EA just release the code on their own? I mean, the game is over a decade old, and the 16-bit gaming systems are obsolete.

It would just be wonderful if the NHL '94 engine could be updated with features such as fighting, season mode, drop passes, block shots, etc...

It would be a great day in the hockey gaming world.
