A couple things to discuss:
Rules - I'm personally in favor of no line changes, with penalties (no offsides). I would probably not play if we had offsides turned on
League Survival - Historically I don't think any other league besides Evan's has ever survived a completed season from start to finish. To ensure survival I would suggest only veteran players that are known to be dependable. At least have a veteran vouch for a rookie.

2. Chicago - backhandfloater
Gotta love the Chicago Stadium.
-
31 goals?! lol

YAY ME!
Congrats Cross. Just dont go spammin it everywhere like you did last season with your good record with the Sharks!
-
is it just me, or am i the only one here using a keyboard?
That's insane. You play a darn good game now, but I guarantee if you move on to a nice control pad, you're game will improve.

I predict Chicago will win both the A and B Gens divisions.
B Division - Just look at that record. 37-3 with only 63 goals against! Amazing!
A Division - Marc is going to win it all. That's right. He will beat KGMAN! (no disrespect to KG) Marc's got mad skills regardless of what team he picks. This season he's got best.
next season prediction: KG will take a better team and destroy all!

Detroit here. IM me even if you see the little phone thingy. I'm at home sick. Should be easy to get a game with me today.

Stat tracking will likely not be available for the next season. Number one priority is setting up league divisions with adequate participation, and setting up systems to make coach replacements easier for the admin staff to handle during the season. That being said, if those things come together nicely, we will start working towards stat tracking.
I appreciate all the hardwork everyone is doing, but I gotta say this is a total bummer. The technology is there isnt it? I've had several conversations with coaches and this is something that we all want.
Pretty please?

To have a fair league....everyone should play everyone twice...one home game and one away game....
I love this idea. Next season maybe?
-
It is a must to take it when playing a skilled human opponent. If you don't take it, it starts raining goals.
-
whine whine whine.
just take the forefit win
Man, what a dick. I thought you were going away... Guess we're not so lucky.
Who want's to take a forfeit win? How lame is that?

For a scrub team, I'll have to agree. They're decent. Awesome? I dont know about that. Bradley is definately a solid player. And gotta love Beers! Not only for the sweet last name, but the guy is pretty steady.
They're definately a fun team to play with for exhibitions.

I was pretty excited when I heard about 2 on 2, but after trying a few games something is just off.
Is it me or is something just off with deking in 2 on 2 games? It seems some dekes simply don't work or are 10 times harder to pull off. A "backhandfloater" for example is near impossible.
Anyone else notice this?

If he wants out, I suggest we take JesusPlaysNHL94. Always reliable, always entertaining.
Or bump up CaseClosed (another skilled, reliable player)
Is there no more waiting list? No disrespect to Addison or Hokkee but having a coaches in both A and B just isnt right.

Interesting idea. Host it in Chicago and count me in. Anywhere else, forget it! I'm not sure how many people would be willing to shell out the cash for the travel expenses.
Seed - Try out some online play. All you need is a fast connection, and a few free downloads and your in.

I think home ice does make an advantage. The NHL94.NET draft league proved it.
- We used 7 minute periods in the league. With the added time it just exagerated the effects.
- Drafted teams to balance things out and keep the teams even.
A lot of the games it did'nt matter. But where it DID matter was in the blow outs games. The majority (if not all) of the blow outs were won by the home teams. I think some blow outs were by more then 10 goals! And this is with some pretty similarly skilled players.
-
For the most part majority of the games I play are lag free. But for whatever reason there are a few people out there that I can never get a smooth game with.
Ussually you can tell within the first 15 seconds that the lag is gonna make you lose. If you think it is going to be a problem, say something early and definately say something before you're down a goal. (or worse, 3 goals) If the score is tied, even strength, I'd ask to reschedule or try a different server.
Sometimes just waiting and playing at non-peak hours will make for a way smoother game. If nothing else works, unfortunately you're screwed and just have to deal with it.

Yes. Game 10 please.
-
Sorry, but Ken and I goofed on the scores. The correct winner should be detroit.
Thanks.
-
Sorry but I really dont like the idea of Geographical divisions. I personally know a few people in my area. I have been playing them for YEARS. I'd rather mix it up and learn some new tricks from some new blood.

"Here Come the Hawks"
Blackhawks of course...

Sweat Got the Que's
I also played a game with backhandfloater and Bryon just to say
Whats your AIM name? I dont recall playing you...
Perhaps you just have a different screen name then Talon22?
-
But then guys like me who overachieved with scrub teams like SJ get screwed.
Good point crossbar.
I just feel bad for a bottom seed dude, barely getting into the A league, get screwed with a crappy team. What if Kgman happens to register 1st and pick Chicago?
Anyways, i understand there is no way to please everyone.
-
IMPORTANT: The order I receive the Registration forms is the order you get your first choice teams. Make sure to register early to get the teams you want!
Just some thoughts...
This seems a bit unfair. I think the lower seeds should get 1st picks. Also, my team pick would be highly dependent on what division I am in.
Can you at least let us know what division we are in before allowing a draft order? Its probably too late...
Oh well. Either way. Should be another fun season. Thanks Evan.
keyboard anyone?

Habs are you serious? You're damn good now, you'll be scary good with a pad.
Just look at Skoolyard Puck. He made leaps and bounds on his deking just by upgrading his POS controller to a sega one.
Speaking of Skoolyard... He's got my vote for most improved.
