  1. Man, i dont know about those trades BHF made, sure Granato is a good pick up, especially for BHF with all that speed, but giving up ranford means he will have the likes of Don Beaupre in net, im not sure if BHF can play offense all game.

And then he trades Sweeney for Bourque, as a guy who has had both, id take Sweeney in a heart beat over Bourque,i know that BHF likes his big slapper, but it makes the back end that much softer in the windy city, especially when bourque goes on one of his random up ice escapades.

I personally dont like the trades and i think Carse made out like a bandit, but we will just have to see if BHF will prove me wrong and i wouldnt be suprised if he did.

What's not to like? More goals for me. More goals for YOU too! LOL

I'll probably take some more losses with this lineup, but I'm just trying to mix it up and have some fun.

  2. Deadline for Round 2- Wednesday Oct 31st.

Try to get your games in by then, and schedule it here. Or you will be gone.

You might have to give me the boot. I tried contacting AJ a couple of times Fri and Sat. No response. (Where's the love, AJ?)

My schedule this week is booked, since I'll be traveling through New York and Vermont. I'll try to get em in, but its not lookin' good.

  3. Despite the limp shot, Gretzky is awesome. Combine insane agility and ability to take a check make him a deke machine. Granted he can't pull off some of the long distance floaters, he does excel at every other deke in the book. And don't forget those rocket passes.

But forget his offense. Gretzky's real talent is his MONSTER hits!

Great pic Habs! You're a great deker. I can't wait to see what kind of numbers you put up with em.

  4. I know a lot of people are anxious to get the drafting process over with, so I thought I'd make a suggestion.

    AOL IM Mobile: http://mobile.aol.com/

So I'm out and about town and get a AIM msg on my phone from Donch sayin' that I'm up. Replied with my pick. Done.

It's easy to setup. You can also set "silent" or "do not disturb" hours. And easy to turn it off too. If we all had this setup, the draft would be done in 48 hours.

  5. agreed.... BHF made an attempt to a hold of EA and never heard anything... so I we'll just have to sit tight and see if he comes on at some point.

I did hear back via text message 2:40am CT: "I'm in Hawaii. Maybe I'll get to it"

    I'll try em again...

  6. Personally, I don't have an issue with it. The skill level of an new coach is a crap shoot either way. I believe that gens C is full of new coaches, original and replacements. In a perfect world, everyone would (or could) play out the entire season. Besides, what's wrong with a replacement who's able to be competitive? Whether he's awesome or so-so, I'm happy if he's playing his games.

    Just my 2 cents :)

    Amen brotha!

  7. If a replacement was needed in the A league..then perhaps this coach would've been put there. But the GENS A league does not need a replacement. Thus the GENS C league was the next choice for a 40 game league.

Replacements coaches can work for or against you....unfortuantely that's part of the process of replacement players.

Hali is right. Good or bad, thats just how it is. I see where you're coming from but looking at your stellar record it looks as if you've already clinched a playoff spot. Look on the brightside, a tough game is more fun then a "roll over."

Same thing is happening in Gens B. Arguably the top player in the community, Kgman was just dropped into the B league. Would I have rather played a weaker opponent? No way! Win or lose, I want a good game!

  8. FYI: Dmac is up to pick. Looks like we may be waiting...

Found this post on the classic league.

Please don't replace me even though I haven't played all my games once I get my computer to hook up to the internet I will be playing all of my games in no time.

(That's why I haven't been online in the past few days is because the internet connection to my house broke so I am getting it repaired and should be up and running by a week maximum.)

  9. I'm consistently surprised to see Lemieux go with the 1st or 2nd pick. He's a great player, sure, but with his inability to take a hit and low acceleration, guys like Bure or Gilmour just seem way better to me :/ Is it me who's nuts? No one dekes better than Lemieux, though.

You are definately not nuts. No way he shoulda went that soon. Eddie, please hit me up before that next pick!
