there's a guy on buffalo that's like that, unknown fast guy, randy wood, really fast skater but unfortunately has NO agility. I mean you gotta start deking with him at the blueline! Then again, with mogilny, how many other fast players do you really need??

my favourite goalie move, and its one i've been using more and more lately, is when the other team is on a breakaway, I pull my goalie a bit back towards my net, and then full steam skate towards the player and push the dive button. Essentially, if you aim correctly, they are totally unprepared for it and the player will either lose control of the puck or fall down, or both. Of course it is risky, but its a lot of fun... Its like a full body pokecheck.

I try to take control at the last possible minute... I'd rather have one of my players hustle back with the computer goalie than relenquish with manual goalie.... but my goalie is also one of the better ones in the game.

dineen is one of those players that NO one knows is a 99 speed... you can put him in there and people are like who the heck is that guy flying down the wing?

I find that too... its because the goalies are like pong paddles.... they don't skate like players, who have momentum and everything, the goalies essentially move up down left right, and the good goalies are a little too fast. That being said, my cuz uses detroit who has pathetic tending.. and as much as he takes control, the times he doesn't I still capitalize on. I think you need to have a team with a goalie, at the minimum, in the mid 60's - anything lower and you can score on them no problem, because you can't control the goalie the entire game.

yeah sweeney is pretty good from a defensive standpoint, but honestly, who would you rather have on your team, him or bourque??? I am kinda in shock that you've played thousands of games against someone who has consistently used boston... i just can't get into the groove with them, neely is useless to me, oates is decent, and their goaltending is atrocious. Them and pittsburgh are the most overrated teams imo.

yeah I just heard about it... seem interesting... has anyone heard about the WHA thing.... apparently there will be eight teams and it will redefine hockey...

Curious to know who people think is the best overall player in the game, and by best overall I mean who you would take to build your team around. Me, I would take Roenick, he is sick in this game. Probably Yzerman after Roenick, and then Mogilny... but Mogilny is a bit of a softie!
