alright finally got it to work.

Now we got it to where we can get into the same game but his keys don't do anything. anyone know how to fix this?

In hamachi I created a network so I could play against my brother. When he tried to log in using netplay it would just say "Connecting" forever, then I did some stuff to my ports and fixed the firewall issues and now it's saying "Connection Request from MB (Gens2.10).. Waiting for reconfirmation..." and it says that forever. I can't figure out what's wrong other than maybe we can't use our own network for some reason.
