No we are not going to. I have been really busy currently. I at least try to update last trades made in NHL to NHL2010.bin. However, I am not able to update trade deadline (March 3) transactions due the holiday trip. They will be updated after March 14.

I was wondering when you'd be back with that...

[New NHL 97 rom]

I exchanged a few e-mails with Chris Shrigley who was the lead programmer for 98. I introduced myself to him and told him about this community and how I have been hacking his game. When I asked him about removing the 2 line passes, I swear I could hear him laughing through my monitor. He told me how EA wanted that function a priority and that it was a total pain in the ass to add. He also told me that it isn't as easy as changing some codes. Oh well, at least I tried...

That's a great path to chase...

Agreed the 2 line feature is a pain and Especially not that its not in the current game, difficult to play with.

The slower speed is quite nice however.

Too bad it appears that one cannot make it happen.

Once I finsih my 97 hack I plan to work on 95.

Do you have any new NHL '97 or 95 Stuff ?

I don't know much about editing, but if I happen to get motivated maybe I can steal some of your work to begin as a foundation for new rosters in these great old games !

I updated macks 2003 version with swos & Mahavishnu 2010 players and ratings. It's not perfect, still no preds or blue jackets but better than nothing. same as my last 'hack' with deleted rink names to free up some bytes.

I know the team colours need tweaking, hopefully i will have more time to actually get out a good release.

enjoy the 95 'bastard' in all its glory... (season mode, awards, league leaders, multigame injuries) just to remind the haters that 95 had some good points.

Loved 95... Loved it.

96 and 98 seemed to have pretty good GENS feel as well...

and yes 98 had fighting so that was a plus as I recall
