  1. perhaps that may be the case for the GENS....but I think there is a debate for SNES... Lemieux seems to score from wherever, whenever...but like i say..i only gave him a 'slight' edge over roenick and yzerman.

Wait a second, there is an NHL94 for SNES? Wow, who would have though, what a bizarre world we live in.

  2. I don't really understand how this can even be a debate unless you're just the kind of person who likes to argue simply for arguments sake.

I think clockwise, in his most eloquent way, stated it best.

JR is The apocolyptic force of 94. And my computer almost blew up when someone posted they thought Lemieux was a contender for this title.

  3. Also, I had another suggestion for this league... does anyone think it would be worth it to have an All-Star game half way through the season?

One suggestion is we could have the top 2 coaches from each conference face off in a 2on2 game at the midpoint in the season or even at the end of the season. Obviously, the teams would be based on the top players from each conference.

Is that too much work? Is it even worth it? I don't know, just a suggestion that we might want to build off of and it could be fun to include season after season. Please share your thoughts.

  4. Does anyone know of a way to record players who are injured and the players that made the injury happen? That would be a great stat to keep track of to have a biggest badass and biggest pussy award at the end of the season.

My friend and I use to keep track of these with a point system.

    Gamer in the 1st pd = 4pts

    Gamer in the 2nd pd = 3pts

    Gamer in the 3rd pd = 2pts

    Out for period = 1pt

Of course, there were 2 columns... one for who did the injury and another for who was injured.

The other part to keeping these stats was if a player was injured too much in one season, you weren't allowed to start him until the playoffs began... poor Pittsburgh as you can imagine.

In this case, if a player racked up the equivalent of 6 periods of injurees, he was out until the playoffs. A gamer only counted for 2 periods of missed play no matter what the period he was knocked out in.

Please keep in mind our teams only played 15 games each in our seasons but we played with 5 teams per player.

I don't know if these stats can be recorded but it would be something cool to track if we could. Any thoughts out there?

  5. I have to be honest even though there are many who love it: NHL 95. When it came out I immediately bought it because I was such a fan of 94. But I was very disappointed. It seemed to me that they simply fucked it up. I know they were trying to make it faster, improve on graphics, etc. but I was not impressed. They proved me right when in 96 they abandoned the whole program.

That's actually a really good point. I know there's a lot of nhl95 fans on this site and I'm not looking to start a whole debate on what year is best for the NHLs. But for me, NHL95 was one of the worst just b/c they had something that worked so well and changed the entire format of the game. I just didn't understand the transition into those graphics and gameplay instead of building onto a great game. 95 was just a big disappointment.

  6. We will give u soap and water so that u can wash your mouths after the tournament..

"...and if you got shut out you might as well be drinking mineral water in Ohio"

Ahola, you're killing me... I couldn't agree more with Addison. I was drinking something when I read your last comment and ended up spitting half of it onto my screen.

Where do you come up with some of that stuff?.... hilarious.

    Defenseman:Adam Burt

I didnt realize i drafted 1 extra forward, when the draft is over ill drop my worst forward and pick a backup Goalie.

doesn't make sense, what if someone wanted that forward?

  8. guys remember you need

    6 forwards, 4 defensemen, and 2 goalies

you can adjust after the draft if necessary.

If we adjust after the draft, then everyone might have to adjust... if someone picks only 1 goalie, there's a chance a chance I may have picked the player that they chose instead of picking a goalie.

Just everyone be careful so it doesn't have to come down to that.
