Kings select D Gary Suter

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for creating this. I miss clockwise's updates, but this lessens the hurt. It's great to see someone is still doing this.
I did find that overall the ratings are too heavy in favor of shot power. I did a roster dump to excel, find and replace, and bumped everyone down by 1 pt, except Weber and Chara, and I bumped their accuracy down 1 each to offset. I find the game plays better now, not as easy to just stop between the dots and blow slapshots by the goalies. I also made some changes to my favorite team the Rangers, namely boosting Krieders speed (he's a 4 in this version, changed to a 6 he's one of the fastest guys in the league) and knocked Stepan down as he isn't nearly that good.
Also, I don't like the greatly reduced speed burst...I believe the original value is 7020 on that hex, this rom has it at 7017..I make it 7019. At 7017 big slow guys again become huge liabilities bordering on weight bug levels...it's much harder to check anyone and almost impossible to stop breakaways from happening with bigger defensemen. 7019 is a good compromise.
Anyway Skip thanks again. Anyone interested in my mods I will post the rom.
Hey, thanks! But I didn't alter the speed burst on anything gameplay-wise. Only the weight bug fix on my end. Anything else was already done prior to my edits. I think you'll be happy with the finished product this time around.

Hey guys,
I am working on updates for the trade deadline. I definitely fixed some of the shortcomings from the original ROM. I will post the ROM once it's finished!

Kings select Esa Tikkanen #3 supplemental

hey Tex, sorry about that looks like I didn't get that change in before I sent it over. Looks like only your 2nd line fwd's are a problem (and x-att). Racine will sub in for both D-men. Sorry but I've been digging through multiple threads and AIM convos to grab these lines from all.

Here is the final ROM that Chaos is working on the site with.

Any more line changes for the final ROM? Let me know asap!
-
I will try to keep up with any changes for the ROM - bare with me if there are a flurry of trades.
-
changes added for DET
-
added trade between NYI/DET

Updated player cards and lines, and re-did overall team ratings to reflect starting 6 on each team (rated from 70-79 team overall)

everything updated for this 'beta' version. Should fix player cards, etc.

If we do h/c vote, I still like #5 the best. It allows you to actually see why a guy is worth putting out there that game, and if you have goalies with similar att's, you can see who is best that game without wasting 2 mins of gametime and repeatedly pausing to re-shuffle lines. If we have the ability to see the correct info, I think it'd be worthwhile to check it out but that is just me.
If there is a pattern of a guy disconnecting on purpose because a star player is cold, then that person needs to look themselves in the mirror and ask how low can they get to cheat "buddies" in a video game. Not much lower, in my opinion.
But I would not argue with any vet here if they still didn't want that, just for that reason.
My second vote would be for #1 (regular classic).

Cool, I just threw the 3 options back into the divisions thread in case anyone wants to take it to a vote or anything. I like Option #3 also - it had the most input.
-
Here were the division options. These 3 were everyone's favorites, both #2 and #3 based on location clusters and even-skill distribution. #1 was more of a location-only cluster.
OPTION #3
WESTERN CONF
Northern Division (MA, ONT, MO, NY)
1 - Plabax (ONT) - Nashville
2.5 - Sicarius (MO) - St. Louis
2.5 - Donnybrook (MA) - Tampa Bay
3 - Lupz (NY) - Winnipeg
4 - Skip (MA) - Minnesota
5 - Jer (ONT) - Toronto
Continental Division (NY, IL, CA, CO, BC)
1.5 - IceStorm (NY) - Edmonton
2 - UncleSeth (NY) - Los Angeles
2.5 - Brutus (IL) - Chicago
3 - Kupuck (CA) - Anaheim
4 - J&J (CO) - Colorado
4 - Skeletor (BC) - New Jersey
EASTERN CONF
Northeast Division (QUE, MA, PA, IL)
1 - Freyday (QUE) - Quebec
2.5 - Houly (QUE) - Montreal
2.5 - Minpind (MA) - Boston
3 - BoKnows (PA) - Hartford
4 - JackVandal (MA) - Hamilton
5 - Jagr (IL) - Buffalo
Trans-Atlantic Division (Europe, NY, PA)
1.5 - KingRaph (NY) - NY Rangers
1.5 - Depch (EURO) - Vancouver
2 - Fitzo (EURO) - California
4 - Labs (PA) - Pittsburgh
4 - Darko (EURO) - Detroit
4 - TexasPachy (NY) - NY Islanders
As much as I loved #2, I think this option will work better for scheduling purposes - especially for Europe and Central/Pacific timezoners.

Did we finalize the divisions and hot/cold streaks yet? Sorry, I've been out of action for a couple of weeks.
-
Hey guys, I will get to all lines before the final ROM. Let me know ASAP, I may finalize tonight.
-
I will take care of the ROM soon!
-
I am also confused. I thought we were voting?
-
#4 seems best since it is an option. Why not use it if it's accurate? I understand some people may be babies and desynch purposely, but that would be pretty childish for a grown ass man to do while playing video games.
#5 is surely the worst!
Nice job Depsch!
