Other notes:

-When applicable, every team has their 90s logos, uniforms, and arena names
-When applicable, every team has at least one player from their original NHL94 roster
-Winnipeg and Phoenix/Arizona are not combined. In this rom, Arizona features players who played in the desert, and Winnipeg features players who played in Winnipeg regardless of franchise continuity. Sorry Atlanta, but you have fallen through the cracks of time in this ROM.
-Players were selected for each team based on upon who were the best players to play for them, as well as players who may not have been stars but were long-time fixtures for the franchise.
-Players are rated based on their peak performance years (more or less) for the franchise represented (Roenick in CHI > Roenick in PHX > Roenick in PHI)

As with the 30th anniversary championship edition rom I just posted, this has not been exhaustively tested, so please feel free to leave suggestions or corrections, particularly regarding team/player ratings for balance!

Otherwise, this has all the features of my other roms; weight bug, uniform sprite enhancement, graphic hacks on benches and ice lines, updated 3-star formula....etc.

It really bugs me that people can freely download this, and then proceed to b***h about it, or just jump into the middle of a critique without bothering to even express any gratitude beforehand.  I think such people should be insta-perma-banned without warning or mercy.

 

 

 

 

hnfoo's chill pill prescription must've ran out. That said, Naples ROM is pretty well done. It just takes a little getting used to it and feeling the rhythm of gameplay. Sometimes you DON'T have to flatten your opponent to steal the puck from him, for example. BTW hnfool, our opinions do NOT need your approval.

Giving naples ROM a chance. There's certain rhythm to playing, especially defense. I'm learning to time my cross-the slot passes (tricky, but fun when you roof it.) Would like to see a water bottle fly off the goal when those high ones go in.. I was wondering, is there a 2 uniform limit per team? I like the Kings' "Forum Blue & Gold" uniforms a lot.

Game plays a bit slow. Hitting opponents is like trying to hit confetti. My cpu controlled teammates often seem unaware of their surroundings.

This is not an ordinary ratings V2 update by me. Slapshot, who already does a lot of work on this ROM for graphics each season, emailed me 2 weeks ago and said he loves the ROM, and he wanted to fully update the graphics. I happily provided him with the headshots I had collected for player cards (the only thing I did), and he did the rest!

Slapshot67 - you are the best bud on this entire site. Thanks for everything.

V2 Updates:

-Bench Graphics (backup goalie, coach)

-Goal Light

-Net Fix

-Roster updates and some minor ratings changes (excel file w/ ratings in zip folder)

**We can do the bench surface a different color next time. Slapshot offered but I didn't think anyone cared :-)

There is no star under the human-controlled player in your ROM, making the game difficult to play. Please add it.

As a Kings fan, WOW! AWESOME WORK, SLAPSHOT! (LOUD STICK TAPS) I was wondering, Is there a way to mix home and road jerseys in the crowd? At games, some fans like to wear the white ones. Me included.

Kingraph, Control response variatons do occur between .bin and .zip ROMS. Why? I don't know. Maybe the emulator being used is a factor. I play on my android phone, often enough to pick up on problems.
