    Congratulations to Season 1 Champions the GA Kings & Captain Kingraph for edging Wittgenstein's George W Bush Squad 20-16 in the final series for the season 1 title!



    Kingraph and Mav put a 7-1 beatdown on Kupuck and Wittgenstein for the final victory.



    It was a lot of fun to do a 2v2 league, a lot of guys that had never 2v2'd before had their first experiences playing 2on2 this season.



    Thank you everyone for participating, hopefully if the league continues some format changes will be implemented to ensure better participation.



    Congrats again to the season 1 champs again - the GA Kings!

    Weird, IMO when it comes to sports many will agree the trash talk is one of the best parts of it when playing. In person the trash talk is just perfect and it's just as sexy over something like XBOX Live. But here, a great counter-arguement to my point is that it's so simple to keep what you have to say to yourself as you have to actually type it to the person instead of just reacting to what happens. So it is easy to be "respectful" but I know some of the "respectful" people here would be just as bad as me if we were to play in person.

    It's common for people to get angry when they lose. A GAME against a little sweetie pie who sucks isn't really better than someone with bad behaviour but is good just because the guy was respectful. If you're competitive you always want to play competition over behaviour. Another example is for me in gym class at school, the kids who say "It's just a game" are the ones you DO NOT want to play with because more than 99% of the time they're the ones who are garbage at whatever you're playing while the ones who swear and get mad when you make them lose are the ones you DO want to play with because they are the ones who are actually good. Those guys are what keeps the gym class good anyway lol you can't hate on them. B)

    the real factor in all of this discussion is that houly is a dedicated member of this community and sure hes made a few booboos but damnit you guys have to keep these type of guys around to keep 94 flourishing.

    Which is why the community [should] uphold and abide standards set in the guidelines.

    Habs logo is a sports classic, ESPN ranks it #1 in all of sports as well (not just NHL) http://espn.go.com/espn/playbook/story/_/id/8295892/uni-watch-power-rankings-rates-nfl-mlb-nba-nhl-uniforms-1-122

    There's some pretty cruddy logos these days.

    Interesting that in the NHL rankings vs all sports rankings the Red Wings and Rangers are flopped, logos hadn't changed in a years time.

    It is very important that everyone involved in the online leagues show good sportsmanship "on and off the ice". Heart-breaking losses are a part of the game, but please don't let frustration lead to negative or antagonistic posts/emails/IMs. The Admin Team won't tolerate childish behavior in the forums or elsewhere. Be competitive, but keep things positive. All we ask is that everybody play their games, log the scores, and have fun while doing so.

    For people who insist on being disrespectful to the league and coaches, the following simple steps will be taken:

    First Offense - A public warning in email and on the forums

    Second Offense - Removal as team owner and forum/website account deleted

    Houly acts like me - we both like to get under people's skin and cause trouble but we will play our games and provide good competition while doing it.

    Behavior like this shouldn't be condoned in online leagues. No one should have to deal with asshats while trying to enjoy a game online.

    That doesn't mean things can't be competitive or fun.

    My feelings are that I would refuse to play players that make "getting under peoples skin" and "causing trouble" part of their tactics.

    Also, why should anyone who will not admit a wrong come back?

    I've heard from other members that Houly states he is banned due to a certain moderator being jealous of houly's great snes skills.

    That is just a bush league explanation to spread - Houly was removed for the reasons stated above.
