    Old School League Announcement!

    I am currently working on posting the entire remaining season schedule for our league. It seems the majority want to be able to play their games at any time as opposed to playing certain ones in a checkpoint.

    So feel free to play out as many games as you wish! :P

    Alright, I apologize about all the updates/changes/adjustments/ect but as I've mentioned before, this season is an experiment. I've adjusted the schedule page to reflect everyones season. Meaning now you may play whoever you want at any time (no more than twice, though). Please visit the league site for further info: www.freewebs.com/nhl94oldschool

    Also, I am expecting everyone to complete at least 15 games by the end of the month. So if you have games left to play by 31 December, I'll be e-mailing you to complete those games within a week or face a forfiture of the remainder of your season. I'm not trying to be a b****, but its not fair to the coaches who wanted to be in the league and would be committed to playing the season.

  8. Losing to the computer?

    I was once an avid player of the game back in the day and I just started playing again about a month ago. So I guess it goes without saying I have my fair share of losses to the CPU. However, if I'm using an elite team (Chicago, ect), then it doesn't happen that often. I usually use a lower-tier team like the Islanders and have a tough time winning consistantly, but it helps me improve my skills.

    I hope one day I do become good enough that losing to the cpu is a rarity. At the same time, I don't ever want to get to the point where I'd want to "kill myself" for letting the cpu beat me. That keeps the game interesting when you can't get an on-line game.

  19. Please Help Me Set Up

    I have downloaded all necessary applications and i have connected successfully to the zbattle room.

    I dont know how to get it started to play against the computer, and i dont have an "AIM" name and dont know how to get one.

    Is anyone willing to help me, and play a game against me, i have been playing nhl 94 since day one.

  21. The Oddest P2p Game Ever

    SEBE82 AIMed me for a friendly exibition game. I told him how to download the updated kailleria client so we could do P2P after a glitch with the Chicago server connection. We begin play as Montreal at Toronto. I notice that he's not playing as well as he usually does. Whenever he gets the puck he flips it down ice.

    Suddenly he IMs me and asks if everything is OK with my controller. He also asks why I keep flipping the puck.

    That's odd.....HE'S the one who keeps flipping the puck. Oh well, maybe he's been drinking or something or just f'ing with me.

    So we play on and I'm dominating something like 5-0. I NEVER get that far ahead. So I IM him and ask if HIS controller is working. He pretty much just laughs at me and says it's fine. Something is not right.

    Then, for no apparent reason, he PULLS HIS GOALIE. Sure enough I skate down ice and Gilmore drops one in the net. OK, enough is enough. I pause the game and before I can say anything SEBE82 IM's me and asks why I pulled my goalie.

    Is this some kind of joke?

    I reply back and tell him that HE pulled HIS goalie. He quickly becomes just as lost and freaked out as I am. I then ask him what the score is.

    5-0 he says....HIS LEAD. I reply back that he must be mistaken because I'm up 6-0.

    I then suggest that we cut the connection and try again. Low and behold the confustion continues. I IM him during the game and ask him the score. "4-0", he says. I see 3-0. #34 is in the penalty box and I ask him if that's what he sees. Sure enough there is no player in the penalty box.

    We then decided it's best to stop playing and SEBE82 procedes to pick up another game with another coach.

    SOOOOO, has ANYONE ever had this type of experience when playing any sort of on-line match. I'm kind of weirded out about it......

    Note: Bradley lost for the game 4 seconds into the game.

    That was another nail-biter for me. I thought for sure with BB out of the way I'd be set. The Hawks started out ahead 2-0 and seemed in control. Suddenly, the Lightning stormed back as the game changed hands throughout the second and third period until the Lightning proved to strong and scored the winning goal with about a minute left.

    Great game.

    Yet another heartstopper. I have to admit that the refs were WAY to hard on the penalties for the 'Hawks. Eddie "The Eagle" made some spectacular saves against a very determined and quick Flames offence. Great game....

    Hokkee refuses to accept the victory due to choppyness. I refuse to replay since it was not choppy for me and I still found a way to lose. Just accept the win ;)

    That's 33 straight losses if you combine GDL and this :P

    We'll leave it as a loss for now :o

    Make sure when your playing your games that both coaches have their screens at the same level (Full Screen, half screen, ect)
