Voc and I were talking about his Heavy Hitters ROM and we decided to make a similar one to deal with the weight bug. Players have had their weights redistributed based on the amount of checking and aggression they possess. This will make players like Scott Stevens and Ulf Samuelson not worthless but be able to hit like they really should be able to.
The new weights were determined with a simple formula:
(Chk + Agr) / 2 = N
The new N value corresponds with an appropriate weight:
5 = 164 (Only 1 player, Ulf Samuelson)
4.5 = 172 (Very few players, I believe 5 or 6)
4 = 180
3.5 = 188
3 or 2.5 = 196
2 or 1.5 = 204
1 or .5 = 212
For example:
Jeremy Roenick has 2 CHK and 3 AGR. That gives him an N of 2.5. 2.5 = 196 lbs.
Richard Pilon has 3 CHK and 5 AGR. That gives him an N of 4. 4 = 180 lbs.
Pretty simple, but it really balances things out. A draft league with this ROM could be interesting, currently Voc is thinking about it. If anybody wants it I'll post it.

You probably could do some damage with San Jose, like your brother did with Florida. With the level of talent around here, I think some guys can probably have some good seasons with what you would coin "average" or "below-average" hockey clubs.
Yeah I know what you mean, I was playing with some of these bad teams that I mentioned and other than Aniheim they all had some hope.
The Sharks big positive was the jaws song that they play whenever SJ goes on the powerplay, I had never heard that before!

How early did you get in the draft?
I got in on the last day, but i was told it was random anyways.
I assume you're kidding around..but if not I can assure you, you will get none of those teams unless you specifically chose the teams as part of your preference list.All leagues will have no more than 20 teams.

yeah evan already told me that i got the last pick in the draft... the way i see it i'll most likely get stuck with SJ, OTT, FLA, or ANH. Of those i'd take SJ but then again who cares at that point

Guys,
Let's try to keep the forums under control. Been seeing a little too many unnecessary bad-mouth posts, many in the Draft league threads. These types of posts don't make Dmitry's or anyone's life easier, and can be frustrating. Yelling about something won't make it happen faster.
We try to keep it loose around here, but use your head. Thanks to those who always respect the forums. We really appreciate it.

it was funny before, but now i've lost two straight games (kgman and carse) BOTH in OT where Fuhr makes the save then randomly drops it into the net.
I'm so close to sending him back to the fields to pick cotton for the rest of his sorry ass life.

The NAACP has recently made a statement that Bo, coach of the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL94online.com GENS A league is a racist and needs to be punished accordingly.
"We have proof that Bo, coach of the Sabres, is racist against people of African decent," NAACP spokesperson Jesse Jackson said. "We have proof that he created a very disturbing and unfunny website http://nsmzamboni.ytmnnd.com which attempts to make humor of slur words that are very offensive to black people."
The Sabres have gotten off to an atrocious 0-8 start, losing their last game to BackHandFloater's Detroit Red Wings 13-2. Coach Bo blamed the start mainly on the lack of effort by goaltender Grant Fuhr, who is half black.
"If Fuhr has one more game where his save percentage is lower than his I.Q. (60) I'm going to make Grant Fuhr stole my play-off hopes to replace my NSMZ site." When asked for the reason to Fuhr's recent play Bo said "Of course I know why he's sucking. His buddys with the GNAA or whoever it is are all mad because I made a little joke. Boo-hoo. I'm about to start Hasek even though his rating is slightly higher than Alexander Mogilny's would be if i could put him in pads."
Jesse Jackson had no comment on the coach's latest comments or his allegations that the NAACP has an influence on Grant Fuhr's performance.
