  1. Klima!!!!!!

    You are the man.

If you play 93 and outlaw the deke move it is perfect game.

I am feeling lots of secret love for 93.

How about a league this fall.

    No deke move.

Many Tecmo Bowl leagues outlaw the use of d-lineman and such.

  2. Hello,

You have to get NOSE working. It is amazing and has worked flawlessly for me.

With it you can easily change team names and jerseys.

    Banners? No.

That requires TLP or some other graphic editor which I have been unable to figure out.

    Good Luck.

Editing banners is the only thing I care about doing that NOSE does not do.

I am sure more help will arrive shortly. The guys on here are great.

    Get going and have fun.

  3. So I finally figured this out.

But if I limit the rom to 16 teams.

I get Boston to Pittsburgh in NHLPA93.

I want to change the order including the banners.

I need the teams from the early 70's with their banners.

Can this be done with hex editor or NOSE?

Please don't tell me I need TLP to do this as I just dont get it.

Can't find banners don't know how to move around etc...

I am using the Original 93 Rom not 30 team edit.

    Does that matter?

  4. NHLPA Hockey '93 (UE) (REV01) [!].bin

    0x00013D2E

change 001A 001A where 1A (both) is the Hex # of teams (default is 26 decimal).

    0x00014492

change 0017 where 17 is the Hex # of playoff teams -1 (default is 23 decimal [0 thru 23 (for 24) teams]).

    0x00014498

change 7417 where 17 is the Hex # of playoff teams -1 (default is 23 decimal [0 thru 23 (for 24) teams]).

    0x00013BAC

change 7818 where 18 is the Hex # of teams (default is 24 decimal).

Note, edit your playoff draws to exclude teams not available/selectable.

I am a little confused by this.

I want to limit my rom to 16 selectable teams.

I found some but not all of this in hex editor.

  5. I did some more work and I think you meant 4bpp. Anyway, I am now wondering if I can just use Hex Workshop to change the names on the banners. If all I want to do is make the Edmonton banner say Chicago can I do that with Hex Workshop? It looks like it based on the tutorials. I need the offsets though. Any Ideas? Will this work? Probably not for USA but what about haviing multiple Chicago's?

  6. I got TM up and running. I can't find 9bpp linear as an option. Did you mean 8 bpp linear. Anyway I can't make out anything. Thanks for your help so far. A month ago I could not have imagined doing this.

I will go back and watch the videos and read if you can help in any other way I would appreciate it.

  7. Well I have almost completed my Old time Hockey Rom thanks to this site and especially smoz and slapshot. I used NOSE to do everything it does and Hex Editor to edit the Ron Barr text.

I have the 16 teams from 1973, plus 55 Detroit, 56 Montreal, 61 Chicago, 63 Toronto, 80 USA, 80 USSR, Charlestown Chiefs, Syracuse Bulldogs, Old Time All-Stars, and 93 All-Stars.

What I can't figure out is the banners and Tile Layer Pro.

Can anyone help me with finding them and changing/editing them?

    Thanks

  8. First I just want to thank you guys for this site and the helpful quick answers I have gotten for each of my questions. I am not a tech savvy guy but I am now successfully making roms with NOSE. I am completely lost on the other stuff. The only thing I really want to be able to do that NOSE doesn't do is change the Banners I don't even need to edit them. I just want to change say Buffalo to Boston. I am using NHLPA 93 and I am making an Original 6 rom. 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's. So the 24 teams will be 4 of each of the Original 6. I have the names changed but the Banners are bugging me.

Is there an easy fix just to change out say Buffalo, Calgary and Hartford and Edmonton all to Boston and so forth with each of the original 6?

    Thanks!
