Great News Evan!!!! I can't wait to get into a league next year....
-
The only times I lose to the computer are when I'm distracted by something else, or if I'm playing with Anaheim or Ottawa against an All-Star Team for practice...
-
dmitry also has it hosted on his site
http://65.36.133.56/nhl94_draft/gensnetplay.zip
Credit is due to Smozoma who created this hacked emulator. (it was not made by the gens ppl)
2on2emu= 2.12b
2.12b is compatible with 2.11 (2.10 series)
Thanks HABS...
and a definite thank you to Smozoma for creating the Emulator, and making our lives so much easier...
-
Both. Unless your playing multi tap. Then only one player from each team needs to use it.
thanks clockwise ...works great
-
Feel free to use anything on nhl94.com at your convenience. That's why it's there!
Thanks, Evan...
Clockwise - Unfortunately, the links in the profiles dont have the Emu available.... anywhere else I can get it from?
-
i never found them. i just calculate the stars for the draft league with a simple formula.
thanks for the quick response...
is it something like if the goalie gets a shutout, they get first star, and then the next 2 players from either team that lead in points??
-
is there offsets that hold the 3 stars at the end of the game??
-
Hey Donch,
The 2on2 league uses a modified version of Gens 2.12b to capture save states during netplay for collecting stats. Classified formally as, the 2on2 emu.
If you look at the cardset on Evan's main pages, you'll see on the back of every player card is the portrait from the game in full color.
thank you so much clockwise for the info... i really appreciate it...
the only other thing is is the modified version of the "2on2Emu" compatible with other version of 2.12b, or would both players need to have it?
yeah i did notice the cardset before... just wondering what options were out there... ill give Evan a shout to ask his permission to use them ...
-
I searched on the forum and saw in the "Extracting Stats" thread that Gens32 version 1.62 allowed netplay save states.
That thread is a bit older, so I was wondering if has been any more recent versions that allow them.
Or if there were any other methods found to save an online game...
Also, I'm looking for Player Portraits for the 1994 players... kinda like the player cards in the game but in color and more detailed.
I know from updating MVP 2005... that MLB has a site where you can save the huge pressbox photo... i wasnt sure if the NHL had something like that, or if there was an archive where older players from 1994 could be found...
Thanks...

hey guys,
just wanted to give you a little update...
been changing the program around some...
It will include an enter game score tab that will allow you to pick the away(left side) and home(right side) team and enter the score... its basically the same as before but now you wont have to click the HomeGame button it will decide based on which side the team is on
it will then save the game score for each team, and auto update the record, home and away record, GF, GA for team
there is a team stats tab - when you select a team it will display the up to date team stats
there is a clear stats tab - you can now choose to reset 1 team orALL teams
there will be (havent started yet) a conference standings tab and a division standings tab...
ill try to get some screenshots up tonight after i get off of work to show you what it will look like...
but if there is anything else ideas are always appreciated and welcome...
i was thinking of also:
- Having the program auto generate webpages for each team, standings, and a game score log (one for each team, and one for the whole league).
- the option of choosing between the 1994 teams, and the 2007 teams (so depending on the league you can have updated logos and name banners)
- Playoff Tree
-
cool...thanks!
hehe no problem... i have the idea for what i want to do with it... but it might take me a couple of days...
-
Hey Dadonch44,
that's is some great work!
I'm wondering if it is possible(and not too much trouble) to create a version with a 'save as' option. I'm running a winter league and I would love to use your stat tracker so I can have a separate tracker for each team.

I'll see what I can come up with for you ...
-
I have updated to Version 2... the link is in the first post....
-
i really like the Silver one on the dark red background ... it looks pretty cool...
-
Other considerations - your firewall may be interfering. Shutting down Instant Messaging can help as well (along with other background applications, but IMs in partcular).
And yes, it may be your ISP. I am on a cable modem and for about a month this fall my ping rates in the evenings would be 150-250 (despite being <20 during the day). The company was very unhelpful in terms of diagnosing exactly what the issue was. It seems to have gone away, so maybe the guy in my building who was running a streaming video porn business out of his apartment has moved on to other projects, but in the aftermath it's pretty clear to me that I had absolutely no control over the situation.
yeah im pretty sure its my ISP.... bc i just checked it before i went to work at 6:20 am ... and it was down in the 19-20 ms range when i pinged google and yahoo....
i didnt try shutting down AIM yet... but ill try that too
i guess ill just have to monitor it and when it is low get in some games then...
thanks for the suggestions...

Are you on wireless?
From my experience, even with an excellent signal, wireless can signficantly mess with your ping times.
thats the strange thing is not wireless.... i just think my ISP is crap...
-
Hey Guys,
I was trying to game against someone for the first time today... and we couldnt play b/c my ping was at absurd levels (140-200)
I have Charter DSL, running WinXP, and using the latest software for Gens and Kaillera.
I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to get it lowered....
I have played Diablo II, Starcraft, Unreal Tournament online before and haven't had any problems
I have looked around on some websites and forums... and they basically say there is nothing to do but get a better ISP...
kinda sucks... but i was just hoping there was an easier solution... it just makes me hate my ISP more than i did before.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Love the sig too.....

First off... I just want to say Thank You for making this awesome site to keep alive the classic games I used to play all the time. I was just browsing around looking for the NHL '94 ROM and happened to stumble across this site. It's exciting to see what people have been able to do to update, improve, and help re-live the great moments of the old school NHL games.
Even with the newer generation of PC and Console systems, I still feel that games such as NHLPA '93, and NHL '94 are sometimes more entertaining even though they may not have all of the bells and whistles of newer graphics, stat tracking, etc.
I am looking forward to competing in the next season of the online Genesis league... and chatting with and playing against everyone on the forums...
So... again Thank You to everyone for making this site what it is... GAME ON!!!

After talking to Clockwise the other night about the status of the league and getting in some 2on2 games, I along with Logan are going to throw our hats into the ring and finish up Edmonton....
there is only 3 games left (2 against disbanded Hartford, and 1 against San Jose)
but if things go our way, we are looking forward to competing in the playoffs, even if the competition is way better.
Our AIM names are :
DaDonch44 - DaDonch44
Logan - TessLog
we are usually online every night, and playing best of 7 series against each other, but it will be great to get more experince against other players
thanks to clockwise for inviting us to join in and its great to be part of the league!!!
