11.15: The New York Rangers select forward Colin Patterson.
-
I downloaded it. It won't recognize my controller though. Help?
-
10.10: The New York Rangers select defenseman Grant "Zeppelin" Ledyard.
-
9.15: The New York Rangers (once again) select forward Paul Ranheim.
-
This white is kind of strong. The greyish white in the original draft league was easier to look at.

8.3: After receiving a frantic phone call...the St. Louis Blues select goalie Arturs "The Anteater" Irbe, immediately announcing a deal with him to host a weekly talkshow entitled "King Arturs' Court",
-
8.10: The Rangers select defenseman Fredrik Olausson.
-
7.15: The Rangers select forward Darren Turcotte.

Unfair trades can be reviewed by the league and voted on by the GMs then. A series of trades right after the draft prior to the season is worthless in my eyes. You get a chance to correct draft mistakes right after you make them...but what if you made more mistakes than you realized and think you can swing some deals to get back in the race?

6.10: The New York Rangers are proud to select forward Paul Ysebaert.

It does look very sharp. I liked it a lot when it was used for the first draft league.

5.15 The New York Rangers are proud to select forward Dale Hawerchuk.
-
4.10: The New York Rangers are proud to select center Alexei Zhamnov.
-
3.15: With their third pick in the 2007 Draft League Entry Draft, the New York Rangers are once again proud to select defenseman Petr Svoboda. Last year's league leader in penalty minutes, the Rangers refuse to let him go and lose his toughness.

Uh, excuse me, I've never quit, and have never planned to. Until someone cuts off my arms and legs with a chainsaw, leaving me with the adorable nickname "Torso Boy", I never will, either.

I'm in.

Desired team: Penguins, if available. If not, Rangers.

Pausing for the sake of an artificial whistle is just stupid. Whenever I'm forced to send an IM or answer the phone or something, the least I can do is try to ice the puck, and failing that, make a save and freeze the puck with my goalie. Have a faceoff in my zone is a small price to pay for only marginally interrupting the pace of the game.

The New York Rangers have dug themselves a hole, dropping two games to the Montreal Canadiens, 4-3 and 5-3.
The problems have so far been mainly due to curious coaching decisions, not to mention the skill of the Canadian upstars. "I don't know what he's thinking." said a candid Geoff Courtnall, in reference to the coaching of James Daniels.
Courtnall was played at center for the first two periods of game one. The Rangers were shut out. Leading scorer Mario Lemieux, who had been started at left wing for the first two periods, went back to his regular center position for the third and promptly scored a hat trick, getting the Rangers back into the game, but just narrowly ran out of the time needed to send the game into overtime.
Daniels refused to comment following the losses. It is believed that Courtnall was put at center in an attempt to jumpstart the offense, which in some circles was criticized for faultering towards the end of the season due to predictability. This was mentioned to Courtnall.
"Well, I appreciate it, but I like playing wing. Come on. Do I look like a center? I'm way too much of a finesse guy for that." Some reporters laughed, as Courtnall glumly grinned along.
"I don't really know what's going on out there." said Lemieux. "I'm doing all I can, but when you're playing with one good winger and a garbage can, you can only do so much."
This obvious reference to the struggling play of winger Pelle Ecklund was not surprising, as his nonchalance has made him an outcast in the locker room. Feisty bench player Stephane Lebeau was inserted in his place in game two, and managed to shake things up a bit, but obviously not as much as hoped as the Rangers lost again.
"It's obvious why we're losing!" said defenseman Petr Svoboda. "It's all my fault because I'M NOT HITTING ENOUGH! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!" Svoboda then headbutted a locker, putting a small dent in his forehead.
Daniels' refusal to talk to the press hasn't managed to keep the fans in the dark, as word leaked from an unnamed player that backup goaltender Ken Wregget will be starting game three.

Open? What are you talking about?

I know in some updates the cause of an injury is made a double-minor roughing penalty. In real life, it's only a double minor with blood. If it would be possible to somehow distinguish between types of injury, say, one that knocks someone out for a game draws blood and is a 4 minute penalty and one that only knocks them out for the period and doesn't draw blood, 2 minutes, I think that would be a nice wrinkle.

if the Rangers ever opened up i would take them... after that it really doesnt matter to me (not trying to step on toes or anything, sorry current Rangers Coach)
Yeah...if Matt ever gets amnesia and makes the Penguins available you can have the Rangers, but that's not likely.

I'd rather get blown out in the beginning than rule for a while then find the top player and get crushed. It was pretty demoralizing when I started, beating everyone from the get-go and thinking I was king, then having Tickenest beat me by an average of 9-0 in our initial encournters.

I think starting at the All Star Break and playing based off the real schedule from there on out would be better, then next season, if all goes well, we could do the whole season. I mean I'd play 82...habs...hokkeefan...thats three out of 30. No offense to anybody else who plays a lot but I don't think many would stay in for 82.

The Rangers are proud to add a strong center with LaFontaine's credentials. Forward Alexei Zhamnov wasn't as thrilled, however. "Where am I gonna go now? Detroit?" he asked.
