Alexei Zhamnov scores a hat trick, adding two assists. His second goal, scored on a penalty shot, swung the balance of the game, giving the Jets a 3-2 lead that they would never relinquish. His tally was followed by goals from Housley, Davidov, and Zhamnov himself to seal the hat trick at the 2:54 mark of the 3rd. Two late goals were added by #2 star Mats Sundin, who earlier scored a power play goal, and #3 star Valeri Kamensky, who bookended his first goal, which opened up the scoring at the beginning of the game.
