backhandfloater
I had my doubts Comcast would do anything when I told em I had problems with Packet Loss in a video game. I wasnt even going to bother phoning it in. Sure glad I did. Comcast replaced the lines outside. It didnt resolve my problem, but it sure made my HDTV picture load a lot quicker. Another call to support and they mentioned its probably the modem. Good thing I've got IT connections. Swapped the modem out and I was getting steady fast pings but my download speed was horrendous. (100k speeds) This caused some sluggishness in my controls. I got lucky in my 1st two games back barely surviving an OT thriller. I never knew your DL speed had an effect on laggy or sluggish games. Finally I remember I changed my NIC settings to 10MB half duplex for troubleshooting. Changed it back to 100 full and now I'm back in business. To top it off my once 3MB download speed is now a blazing 15MB! Life is good Ready for games nights and weekends.
backhandfloater
I spoke too soon. My desyncs are gone, but now I have a weird laggy controller problem... (imagine your controls being a half a second late) Anyone seen this and know how to fix it?
