OK. LOOKING to finish in one month, so season would end Monday on June 8th. Here are the rules: 18 teams, ONE big blob*, no separate divisions/conferences, etc. 4 games vs each opponent, totaling 68 games. 2 home/ 2 away. 3 min periods, 3 min OT, ties will happen. Playoffs, top 10 make it with 2 play in series. #7 vs #10, #8 vs #9, winners play #1 & #2 seed, respectively. NO RE-SEEDING once the playoffs start. Will be run true tourney style, best of 7 series. REASON for this is so we don't have to wait for EACH series of each round to play next series. IF there is strong participation on all coaches, I will likely also run a B tourney for the bottom 8 (losers of the play in series and the 6 non-playoff teams). I will decide how games NOT played will be penalized for playoff standings per each user based on overall participation and being active in the league and league chat. Standard penalty for any DNP is 2 point deduction off your win/tie point total. 2 points for Win, 1 point for Tie. Given 3 min periods, I'm assuming 4 games vs each coach easy to get in, but if we need to extend the league by a week or two, might do that if enough guys aren't getting all the games in. *big blob coined by Schmidt

So, only vote if you've had time to EXI w/ the Rom and have played some games w/ 3 min periods. It has plenty of pros & cons. One major pro is you can knock out a bunch of games quickly. One major con is sometimes it can feel TOO quick. Given that, stats will be harder to come by, which can be both a PRO & CON. In addition, I am doing a second poll to decide on settings for the playoffs as well. My thought now is let's vote on 3 options. IF YOU HAVEN'T EXI'd the ROM, hurry & do so, and then come vote.

ROM I made was crashing last night, so I deleted it. This is just the base NHL94 rom w/ the B check fixed, and set to 3 min periods. Use this to add your teams for exi's, etc. We will get to an official exi rom later. ETB4_Ex1_Rom1.bin

For those that know how, ADD your team if you want and upload it here. Re_name it each time the next number. SO, this will be ETB4_Exi1 rom. Next one is ETB4_Exi2 rom. And so on. DON'T BE THAT GUY! I'll try to add teams tomorrow. I was getting error messages when I tried to make some teams up.

Raph has graciously setup the google doc for us. To simplify my life, I'm running the league under Et Tu Brute. It will not follow previous Et Tu Brute league formats, other than be a draft league. Repeat for rules: Classic Rom, no weight bug fixed, C/B checking will be in full effect 3 minute periods, 3 minute OT as well NO penalties, but B CHECK will be enabled (thanks to an old Plabax hack from back in the day) Offside Off, Icing On Classic Hot/Cold will be enabled, but RATINGS in game will be displayed accurately (Unlike in a classic game where they don't reflect accurately) Roster will consist of 5 fowards, 3 defensemen & 1 goalie. 18 coaches, NO additional HOME/AWAY bonus based on team, strictly for Name/Color/Organ music One division, even schedules, only 2 games vs each coach, 1 home, 1 away (feel free to exi away outside of league games) Additional 4 games vs your "rival" on league schedule. IF you don't pre-select one before end of draft, I will assign one for you based on rosters/opponents un-selected as a rival yet. DURING THE DRAFT, ALL FORWARDS AND DEFENDERS are eligible to be moved to Forward/Defense. AFTER THE DRAFT, you will have to select which 5 skaters will be forwards and which 3 will be defenders. ONCE final ROM is created to start the season, this will be LOCKED. PRIOR to this, you are free to change them up as you like, INCLUDING via trades. IE, I draft Gretzky, designate him as a defender, trade him to Zep, and he designates him to a forward. AS long as come FINAL ROM, you have 5 Forwards designated, 3 defenders & 1 goalie, you will be clear for take off. DRAFT to start some time tonight, after I complete the Draft Order & reveal it via my draft video. Details to come via Discord.

@AtomicRaven we are trying to get everyone working on Retroarch. Not sure if it’ll be possible, but it’s the reason for the delay in starting to figure out if RA will work for all.
