Hi all. I redid the players and now some of my sprites has the wrong colors or missing feet. Has anybody seen anything like this with any game? Not sure what's happening. 16 player animations are affected by this glitch on each team. I use tilemolester and use copy and past between my roms, not sure if that makes a difference. I've been working on this rom for a year now redoing sprites, end zones, field, uniforms and logos. Pic 1 before glitch. Second pic teams with glitch. The sprites were fine after I changed the field color, they just changed out of the blue. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!!

Well that sucks ☹️. Why did they give up on it?

They already have all the years of the nes version I believe. Just use them as shells and making changes there.

@UltraMagnus I got it working, I installed win 10 awhile ago and I didn't have Java. So this is Cin and Cle end zones. I tried to pull the palette by going to palette> import from> this file. turned the location to a decimal. I don't think I have the right location because the colors were still off. One thing I would like to do is change the helmets like the updated ones in the pic to college teams. Did he get a photo of the logos save them as a bitmap then paste them onto the helmets?

@UltraMagnusI downloaded Tile Molester but for some reason the application program isn't there in the files. do you know why?

@UltraMagnuscool I’ll get that and try it. I’ve found pretty much everything. Helmet logos, end zone logos, mini helmets, cut scenes, plays, team names, etc. The end zone logos are a pain to line up. I’m turning the Browns into the Ravens and doing a ‘98 version w/ Oilers and Ravens. Trying to put a Ravens logo on the end zone helmet logo which were the browns helmets. Already turned the end zone and helmets black now just need the logos.

Hi guys. I’ve been modding TSB3 for about a year now and I’ve gotten into the graphics, first time doing graphics at all. This question is about the graphics in general. I use tile layer pro. Is there an easy way to line up the graphics? I read that Sega has a pattern like each tile goes over so many places then the next tile moves over and so on. I’ve done some logos already just want to know if there’s an easier way of doing this or a better editor. Also thanks for letting us football fans join your hockey site!

@UltraMagnusdo you know to edit the mini helmets? i can edit the big ones cant figure out the mini. is there a way to delete them off the map? i can get parts of them deleted but not the whole helmet. on Fernando49 rom he changed the oilers helmet to the ravens, not sure if he did it with tile layer or not.

This one plays fast, not a lot of time to throw it. You may slow the defensive line down some. We used a 5 level ratings system. If you have trouble figuring out what we did I can explain it deeper, but I believe we took the 17 ratings slider and divided into 3 tiers. Big guys, medium guys and small guys. Speed and power are based on those. Big guys 5 is fast for a big guy but slower than a 5 medium etc. If you would rather just go back to the original sliders I can make the adjustments graphically and coding wise.
Amazing job! Very well done! I do have to admit thought, the game is extremely fast. I don't think it's playable the way it is sadly. @UltraMagnusdo you think its too fast or is it just me? Other than having no time to throw and a little hard to run this game is awesome. @Drunken_1I'm blown away at what you have created! You and UltraMagnus truly are masters at what you do!

Nice! I forgot to say thanks in the last post so I’ll say it double now thanks!

I can put that together if you like.
I mean sure if you really want to and it’s no trouble knock yourself out. The only time I get into this stuff is winter because it gives me something to do. Sometimes I feel editing the game is more fun than actually playing it.

@SirPurr3 What are you looking to do? Cause I would be more than happy to help out for you.
The only thing I’m looking to do is change the rosters. I would like to make a 1988 version of the game. I can alway do what you did and just use the first initial and last name or just the last name but I would still be limited on space of the name that’s there now.

Well that's a crappy bummer. I don't know why Sega has to be a bastard lol. I guess I'll have to stick with snes tsb1 which sucks because I really don't like it compared to segas version but it can easily be modified. Thank you very much for your time and help!

This version of the rom for SEGA doesn't allow it just using the HxD to edit it. There is another way, but alot of steps involved to get it to populate and operate once its be edited.
Not sure what you mean by this version of the rom. What's the name of the program you used? I found a .bin version made by tecmosuperfan a 2020 version that can by edited the way you showed for tsb3 sega but the stats are all screwed up. No receiver has more than 1 receiving td for a whole season and many rbs over 2000 yards rushing

Not sure what I am doing wrong. Can you put in full first names? I figured you should have 12 bites of space since that's what the other versions allow
. I still get this -
I'll post my question here it might get more views. I have all the locations needed for all of the tsb versions I like. The only thing I cant figure out is how to do names for tsb1 for Sega. I can make long names short but can't make short names long without making everything all messed up. Please, does anybody now how to do the names? I owe you guys my gratitude for showing me and others the greatness of modifying these games. Thank you!

2020 has been a crappy year for all of us dude. We just have march forward the best we can. Whether it’s making your tsb 4 or converting tsb 3 to 32 teams both are really hard work and will be amazing when they are done. I just wish I had your knowledge to do any of them. There’s no pressure to get it done, it will happen when it happens. Keep up the great work and I hope 2021 is better for all of us.

Yeah, unfortunately, the easiest way to edit the TSB 1 rom is through the HxD editor. Which is very time consuming, but possible. Ive done it before, but can't find the edited version anymore.
Hey so I've found the locations needed for most of the editing. They are playbook: 4CC4, offensive formations: 5104, names: 5F64, attributes: 8A0E, offensive preference: B596, and sim data: DEA8E, if anybody else is interested also. The formations were tricky because they have the 2 back set at 00 but the 3WR is 04 and 4WR is 08. The only thing I don't know how to do is the names. Do you know how to do them? I'm assuming it has to do with the pointers to make more space, which I have no clue of doing. I would really love to make an '88 version of the game. Thanks

The bin file is the sega version of the rom. Or it can be a md.file.
I'll give it a try.
So I downloaded a ROM converter SBWin 3.2.0 and took my Sega tsb1 rom which is a .gen file and converted it to a .bin file. I tried it in the manager and I can select it from import data but a get a message that reads "sorry support for that rom isn't available yet".
-
Sorry dude I got it. I didn't follow your directions correctly. I didn't download your bin file. My mistake. Thank you for coming up with this! How did you create this bin file? Can it be done for tsb1 Sega?

Ugh 2 things. One, I couldn't get your manager to open when I Downloaded it, so I found one on another site and downloaded it there. Two, when I go to import data none of my Sega files are visible for me to select just SNES files. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Problem with sprites
in General Discussion
Posted
Thanks for the info. I’ll definitely do that going forward. I’m just dumb founded because only 16 of like 60 sprites are wigging out. It’s just a pain. I’ll just redo those and hopefully it doesn’t happen again.
