Sorry to anyone and everyone involved on the before mentioned NCAA'21 (95) and/or the Alternative Banners version, I tried to keep my post simple in my reply and in NO WAY meant to take away all that worked on it or any other NCAA rom. Or if I improperly credited names to that particular rom. I'm sure I made mistakes in my haste to reply.

Yes, there is. NCAA'21 (95) by UltraMagnus. And it's great, don't get me wrong. Pardon the simple description of his rom... it consists of the "best teams" in the NCAA throughout the U.S. and it has an 84-game schedule. Which is good, but just not. ummm. as realistic as some might like. Thus, my mod request.

I really like the NCAA roms (Sean, JKline3, UltraMagnus, & I apologize to others I did not mention). Is it possible to make an NCAA rom (NHL95) using individual conferences/leagues - such as Hockey East, Atlantic Hockey, CCHA, NCHC, ECAC, the Independents mixed in somehow (maybe with major recreation/club teams) or (use them as non-conference games to fill the schedule), and that has only a 30-something (34,36,38) game schedule like colleges have? Or, just a 20-something conference only schedule. I know you can "end season after today", but it would likely mess up the number of teams you play and how many times, right? Or, would creating a 7 (Big Ten) or 11-team (Hockey East) tournament at the end cause problems? If possible, It would allow for playing a full 30-something game season in, for example, Hockey East, then having a Hockey East Conference Tournament at the end. I put a lot there. Any thoughts or opinions? Thanks.

Maybe I should have stated that better. Not ALL Goalies, now that you mention it. The only way to do it, maybe, is have all 1st string Gs 80-??, 2nd string Gs 70-79, 3rd string Gs 60-69. Or something along those ratings. Obviously, starting Gs change, so more work and updates would be needed. Plus, that's a lot of detail for you to look at. I can see where you would be hurting a player's true-life rating, though, like in BOS. Ahhh, never mind.

Just a few "hopes and dreams" (if possible): Obviously this takes skill, talent, and time. I like things you have in your to-do list. But, you asked. 1) Is a third alternate jersey option available (ala Von Ozbourne, et al) beside the traditional Home and Away? So, 3 jersey options? 2) I really like on Sean's NCAA Tampa how the center-ice logo is flipped 90 degrees to have it look like a television game. Anyone else? 3) More home team colors in the stands. For example, Detroit at home could be 90% red shirted fans. 4) Another wish off the top of my head is, and I realize it's a 30-year tradition, make it possible to have just one other celebration after a goal... e.g. Line that scored the goal hitting gloves down the bench. The traditional one is getting a bit old. 5) There really should be fighting. I don't know if that's possible. 6) The other thing is, for the history of EA Hockey, goalies have a big ratings difference. My personal opinion, every G should be rated between at least 80 (?) and most 92 (?). Hope and dreams. I welcome differences of opinion. Great game, as always! I'll play it as long as you make it.

Very clear. You're (AdamCatalyst) my go-to for your NHL mods. I should have made it clear that when I said "you". I mean all of you trying to make these games so great with your hard work and help in all the games.

I appreciate the responses (and glad it's something that not just I have happening). It's just a restart, no big deal, really, but wanted to bring it up to help. I'm not on Discord, sorry it's on here. Now that you mention penalties on/off... I had a penalty called and when the player was going to the box, his number went to "??" and everything went crazy and screen filled with mostly big black pixels. First time it's happened. Again, not complaining, just trying to help with this great game. I'm glad you're aware of the little bugs and are doing your best.

Thanks. It doesn't do it every time. I would say 1 in 10 games played, maybe?

It's the most recent compressed zip file from 3/23/2023 (I believe) and bin that has Pods C & D. Yes, each time it gives that error it is bin Pods C & D. Did that answer your question?

Screen freezes... ADDRESS ERROR 0001A5EA 02000077

FYI - I have had an error 3 or 4 times (screenshot attached). I am using the downloaded .bin on an emulation station. Each time, I am using St. Cloud St., but the opponent has been different. It always happens in the 1st Period. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Any idea what error it is? Thanks. P.S. This is a GREAT game! IMG_7396.HEIC

From someone (me) who has been watching for a while, and now starting to ask questions and interact, I completely agree. Sometimes it’s difficult to ask the right questions in the right way. I grew up with Genesis and it’s incredible and fun to see what you can do now with programming and coding.

I have a correction to make from earlier: I actually just tried to make that "Top-32 plus 32 More Dynasty Mode" mod here at home off of YOUR incredible hack and hard work. It did not turn out... no matter what I do in your "Excel Season Simulator", the Pods always revert back to the originals. Maybe I'm either over my head or not seeing the simple solution. I have tried your Step by Step, deleting, saving, editing, copying, you name it. Each time, I see Boston U and Boston College as the first two teams for Pods A and B and no Pod editing whatsoever shows. Is this too much to explain to me here? Sorry and thanks.

His/your(AdamCatalyst) NHL rom is awesome. Ugh... if only these talented minds could find a way to add Season Mode, stats, create, etc (like 95 and beyond) into NHL 94.

Well, mind blown! It seems the best way is to put the 16 teams that made the tourney into Pod A and/or B, the "next best 16" into Pod A and/or B (all others in C & D)... then hope computer-generated fate makes a true-to-life tourney after choosing Rom with Pods A and B. I see my weekend being extra full now. P.S. I appreciate your quick and helpful replies.

1) I understand. I wasn't aware that 32 teams is the max (it makes sense after I think about it and look at other roms). Thanks for the detailed explanation. I'm glad it wasn't taken as a complaint and you agree with my thoughts. Hopefully in the future this can be accomplished. Either way, I'm enjoying your works. 2) Now... are you saying in your included Excel spreadsheets, we can change the actual game using those Excel pages? I think I was under the impression that those are simply simulation spreadsheets and do not change the actual in-game experience. Again thanks and you make great stuff!

Long time reader, first time official contributor. First, thanks to all for your hard work and great Roms, I play them often. The college rom is brilliant and I play it often and look forward to whenever a new version comes out (Gameday, Dynasty, Road to TB). After playing this latest version, I did notice (and tell me if I'm wrong) that we cannot play a computer-generated tournament that involves teams from 3 or 4 pods, only the selected 2 that were chosen at the start. So, for example, we cannot have a tournament that has Boston College (pod A), RIT (pod B), and/or Michigan (pod C), and/or Minnesota (pod D). Am I wrong? If so, please tell me and how to involve all 3/4 pods in a tournament. If I am correct, any chance that is an option in the future - two 16-team pods (or however you need to) so all teams from all 4 pods could be in a tournament together? Thanks again!
