  3. 'NUCKS RAKE LEAFS

    Toronto, Ontario.

The Vancouver canucks finished off the Toronto maple leafs tonight in a hard fought opening round series in the stanley cup playoffs. "Although it was a sweep, each game was a battle, we just came out on the right end of each game", said an extatic Pat Quinn.

The series was defined by the great speed of Vancouver, who constantly had Toronto on their heels the whole series, led by the russian rocket (pavel bure) and little Cliff Ronning. Series MVP honors has to go to Kirk Mclean however, (1.50 GAA for the series) he made big save after big save. "I have to give alot of credit to my d-men, getting sticks in the lane, blocking shots, giving me clear looks, they made it alot easier than it seemed." said an exausted Kirk Mclean.

This may prove to be a huge stepping stone for the Vancouver Canucks who hope to make a deep run in this year playoffs. " Anything less than a stanley cup will be failure, it is our time, we must win now! or changes will be made across the board" says team owner, Arthur Griffiths. A huge challenge by the owner like this is a bold move, we'll have to wait and see how things unfold.

Now the canucks have some time to rest as other series' are finishing up. Edmonton has already won they're series and are a likely round 2 matchup for Vancouver, another all Canadian series perhaps. The teams split their season series and should prove to be a very hard fought semi-final. Pavel Bure however was on record as saying, " Ice dowt care who play, i scow goal veny timez, ezmownton cantz stowp me, ice too fazst!"

  4. As the deadline was last Saturday, I will put you in the "C"/Farm league, but currently you're the only one.

Once there are more people in "C", you'll have games to play, and the top guys will get promoted to B (or possibly A..) for the next season. You'll also be in line for taking over no-show coaches in B or A.

    Detroit is yours (in "C")

ok, sounds good...can i change my team to vancouver, sry. thot they were taken for A/B league....thx
