  1. The only reason the Wii's are selling is the low price, that's it, same reason even I picked up a GC for 100 bucks, while the PS2 was still about $200. Any other reason you are kidding yourself, also, most of the new games suck anyways, not worth your time.

I couldnt disagree more. I took my system down to my parents house over Christmas and once I hooked it up, the system did not turn off for 10 hours straight. By the time I left my parents, who NEVER play video games bought a second system that I had picked up to sell to whoever wanted it. Not only that but my sister and family are currenly looking for one. Basically anyone that has played the system has wanted it.

  2. Im writing this with my Wii.

I hope they release Nhl94 although genesis games aren't cheap (8 euros a piece [10-11 dollars]).

So far this new innovative playability has been great. I have wii sports and wii play. play sucks but sports rules!

I wish they would release sports games more. hockey game with wiimote would be unreal.

Which Wii sports game do you like the best? Bowling is by far my favorite. Worth the price of the system alone just for that game. Soo far I've bowled over 100 games.

  3. If anyone has had the chance to pick up a Wii, I would highly recommend it. I thought I would wait to see if any of the virtual console games would be playable online, but I played 2 games of wii sports bowling on a store demo unit and was hooked (pardon the pun). Most fun I've had playing games since the NHL series on the genesis. A friend of mine came over and played it and said "Looks like I might have a new all time favorite game."

Hopefully the classics will be playable online.

  4. I was wondering if anyone has a recent roster update for NHL95? Even if it was a few years old(2002-2004 season) would be fine.

I did this a while back and thought I would stick with it, but with the lock out, work and my other hobbies I dont know if that will happen. I did fix the broken links so you can download my update to 2002. I also did a turbo update to where I gave everyone an agility boost. Enjoy

  5. LOL hang in there Goose.

If I am playing the computer I never take control of the goalie, they dont really do to many moves other than the one timer which I couldnt stop any better than the computer anyway. However, if I am playing a person I take the goalie only when I think the player is going to score if I dont take him. Mainly breakaways and when a guy is wide open in front of the net and the guy with the puck is off near the circles.

  6. I prefer NHL 97 more because it has better on ice graphics and it isvery simple to edit.

    ;)

I'm glad you came back for one more year Stevie Y. Every young player in any sport should watch you to see how to become not only a player, but a leader.

  7. I would like to throw in my vote for the one that says nhl hockey editor in the lower left hand corner. I would make a slight modification and have the puck in the middle of the H be slightly smaller so it looks like the original H with the white outline of the middle part that would be the same size as if the puck wasnt there

    Like this

Just my 2 cents. Mack designs things I could never come up with in this lifetime. All are good ideas

  8. Over the weekend I was playing a friend in both NHL 94 and NHL 95. We usually play 95 but gave 94 a shot. The main thing that we noticed was that the game was way too slow. Our defense is too good to allow anyone to get close to the net because of this. You can see a break away coming for a mile and all you have to do is grab anybody on defense and pound C until you catch him. This doesnt happen in 95 because of the speed.

Control is also much better with 95. Nothing is worse than taking control of a player getting close to the puck but never getting it because I turned slightly the wrong way and was by the puck before the turning radius would allow me to adjust and get it. I'm sure people that play this one all the time would get used to the controls and adjust, but its still not as good as 95 in my opinion.

Our games have intense up and down the ice action at all times, very few times when a game is boring. 94 was like watching paint dry as we could easily see what was coming and defend it. I would still rather play 94 against the computer since there are less ways of easily scoring, but against another human I would rather play 95 every time. 95 is like 94 on speed.

Just thought I would give my two cents

  9. who would play NHL 95 and call themselves true gamers they all need to be shot .....nhl 95 is worst game EVER ( because they changed 94) and to actually go out of ur way to play that game is pathetic to say the least .......NHl95 could have been the best game but those brats at EA all 94 needed was 95 setup w/season and fights .........although nhl95 PC is somewhat there except no manual goalie ....probably the most important position in player on player hockey

I posted that as a way to show you how they have their tournament set up, not what version they were playing. For the record, I actually like both games equally. 95 is more fun against friends and 94 is better against the computer.

You can say you hate 95 all you want, but you dont have to condem those that do like it. Your opinion is no better than anyone elses and as much as you dislike something you cant shame or bully someone into agreeing with your opinion. The fact that you and many others hate 95 doesnt change my opinion of it, nor should it.

If I came on here and said I couldnt stand anyone that loved 94 would that make you change your mind? No, but it would show you that there is no good reason to talk to me. :D
