  1. I just read the article pertaining to the verbal argument between Chris Pronger and Ben Eager. Basically Chris Pronger took the game winning puck shot by Eager and threw it in the garbage. Ben Eager wanted this puck to keep as it was the game winning puck. After the game was finished Eager skated over to Pronger exchanging some words. The, from the towels thrown by the fans after the game, Pronger flipped up a towel to the face of Eager. Both players have received 10 minute game misconducts.

Pronger calls his actions "ways of getting into the heads of his opposition" I call it childish antics. I feel Pronger hated the fact they lost and acted as such taking a prized possession from a fourth line forward. What do you think though? Do you feel this is a good tactic to get into the minds of the blackhawks? Or do you feel this is just Chris Pronger being a sore loser. And how do you feel the first 10 minutes of the first period will be without Pronger?

All I know is tonight will be very physical and it will be tough for the BlackHawks to win in Philly.

  2. I know this has been brought up or maybe even done before - but I finally got around to picking up a live membership card and have been having a blast with the NHL10 online play but haven't done any of the leagues yet. I was wondering if any of you Xbox live guys would wanna do a NHL94.com League or something I'd be willing to create the league and stuff... All goons welcome.

I'm willing to. I love playing NHL10 and an online league would sound awesome

  3. I found it interesting that of the 11 goals that were scored, none were by any first line player (forward or defenseman.) Awesome game overall, excited to watch the rest of the series.

I agree this series will be great considering we had an exciting game without people like Toews, or Kane scoring.

  4. Flyers beat Habs, plain and simple, they deserve to be in the finals. Anyone who disagrees can instant message me and we can have a legitimate argument one on one.

I never said they didn't deserve it. They did beat the Habs. But the Habs had a harder road to the conference finals and Philly was the better team.

  5. Last I checked coming back from 3-0 has happened a few times where as an 8th seed knocking off a 1st down from 3-1 has never happened before, thus harder.

Agreed Habs had the harder road.

  6. no question about the habs having the tougher road to the CF, but coming back from 0-3 (they had Savard back and only krejci was out from what i recall) to me is more impressive, esp considering it has been done twice in about 70 years, never been done in the NBA and only once been done in MB (Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Red Sox!)

Plus Flyers had to deal with injury to their 2nd stringer only to have waiver wire guy come back and win series. Oh ya, and Jeff Carter was out most of series.

I agree its Impressive but all i said was the Habs road was tougher.

  7. Have to check the record books but i'm pretty sure coming back from 0-3 is harder.

Yes but considering the injuries in Boston it made it easier. The Flyers had an easier run to the Finals than the Habs.

  8. Dude, are you out of your mind? I guess you think that comming back from a 3-0 defecit is easy.

What seems harder? A 3-0 deficit to the Bruins or having to advance in the playoffs by beating BOTH the Caps and Pens?

  9. Yeah mine had a "mode" button that toggled between the D pad and the analog sticks.. but for some reason the D pad never let you go in a diagonal direction - up or down..it was very had to play straight up, down, across, and down with players and goalie and I lost a 91 game pretty handily as a result.

I also have that problem with my Logitech controller did you ever find a way to fix it?

  10. But also the Flyers had an easier run to the Playoffs. They're only real threat was the Devils. Don't get me wrong being down 3-0 in a series and coming back is impressive but I don't think they could of survived against the Caps or the Pens if faced up against them. The Habs really did most of the work in the eastern conference and Philly just beat them on Momentum.

Just think all of this could be totally different if the Rangers had just beaten the Flyers in that last game. *Sigh*

  11. I dont think phi has played anyone as skilled as chi and I predict chi in 6

I agree Philly has had an easy ride the finals plus the Blackhawks have been doing great. Sweeping the Sharks and all. I also want to see Patrick Kane win the cup he is one of my favorite young players.
