    Wow... the power rankings USED TO be accurate... not anymore. I was right beside fenty last time, and then after sweeping a playoff series (in 4 games that weren't all that close - no offence to VAN), I'm not even on the list anymore? How does THAT work?!

    I went by a suggestion that addison made the last time...instead of picking your best team(since you have two)...i took an average of the two teams instead. you're right..it is inaccurate to your skills...just a matter of circumstance...but if you want..i can put your B team back on there.

  6. Offsides off petition

    I'm not sure why a petition was started. You signed up for a league run by dimitry who mentioned he prefered offsides. He also conducted a poll to see where people stood and although the poll shows most don't like offsides, he said this wouldn't make or break his decision. It's his league and he made the decision to have offsides in.

    I agree with you guys about playing without off sides..I don't like them either and Dimitry may have a change of heart but I don't think a petition was necessary for a league that you knew in advance would probably have offsides.

    A list... Man I didnt do anything like that? Do you want a list from me...I thought is was like the gen draft but I will sned u an email ok/

    yeah sorry man..im not sure where the confusion happened but we are not drafting players for this league.....just simply setting the fairest way possible to assign teams from a draft as opposed to a first come, first serve basis.

    the list is a 'team preference' list which i believe you have provided me a few teams when you first signed up.

    Listen can we start the draft before the finals. So we can start the season after the playoffs are over right?

    most guys have provided me a list of teams they want..so once i figure out the draft order..ill assign teams based on the 'preference' lists provided(this should be a very quick process once all lists are recieved)....ill send out an email soon to all coaches in regards to everything pertaining to the league.

    Great write up man!

    EDIT* Sometimes I find when I play the game..it literally becomes a guessing game. if im playing against a weaker player you dont have to think about it becuase you know that even if you get scored on, you can come back....but when you are both matched equally in skill you start trying to guess what he's gonna do each offensive and defensive play...whoever guesses right more wins.

    With 5 minute periods it makes it easier for anyone to beat anyone on any given day as opposed to 10 or 20 minute periods.

    Glad to hear you had fun...cause there's a select few that still seem to miss that point.

    How are you going to do the draft? Can you explain how...I like to know how to make a new rom...ty man

    the draft order will be based on the power rankings i've come up with(see power rankings topic for info on that). The coach rated highest in 'power rankings' picks last in the draft, 2nd highest in power rankings picks second last and so on.....until we get to the bottom 8 teams from the power rankings...those teams will be thrown into a 'weight lottery' for first overall pick and the next 7 picks....the lowest coach will have the highest percentage of first pick (I have yet to determine percentages...this will be done near the conclusion of the playoffs).

    Just to note: I will pick last in the draft regardless...but this is how i would do it..if i wasn't playing the league.

    Wife: Seriously, honey, it's time for bed. What are you even doing anyway?

    Me: What? Oh, just waiting to play that hockey thing, doesn't look like it's going to happen though. I'll shut down.

    Wife: It's the second round now?

    Me: No, this is still the first round.

    Wife: I thought you played the first round already?

    Me: No, the guy hasn't shown up yet.

    Wife: Wait, what? Didn't you already schedule something?

    Me: I dunno, kinda. He hasn't logged on since the playoffs were announced, so I started asking around a few days ago. His friend said he'd be back Sunday night, so I waited for him but he never showed up. He later posted that he'd try for Monday night though.

    Wife: You played Monday night I thought.

    Me: No, those were just exhibition games with other people, while I was waiting for him to show. I gave up after a few hours, but he did say that if Monday didn't work he'd definitely play Tuesday.

    Wife: ...but you didn't?

    Me: No, he didn't show up today or tonight either. (Sigh).

    Wife: Wait, you've been making "dates" with people you don't know, guys, to play video games, on the Internet... And you're getting stood up?

    Me: Well--

    Wife: Oh my god. That's the most pathetic thing I've ever heard of. Ever.

    Me: I don't think I would put it that--

    Wife: You're getting stood up for Internet video game dates! With guys! Repeatedly! What part of "loser" don't you understand? I can't believe I dumped Michael to go out with you!

    Me: What?

    Wife: Michael was a MODEL. A MODEL. He got PAID to wear nice clothes and look pretty. And I dumped him, to go out with - and marry! A guy who gets stood up for Internet video game dates! With guys! Repeatedly! Jesus! Christ!

    Me: I don't--

    Wife: Hey lonely nerd man, how do you spell "irreconcilable differences"?
