  1. I would play with penalties on/no offsides and no line changes either. It's your league though, do what you will with the rules. I'm sure I'll be the first league player ever to go 0 for the entire season B)

Hey, I suck, but at least I'm gonna show up every game and take my beating like a man

  2. Me and my country are insulted by that!

Of course there are Canadian players, after all hockey is OUR game.

Gee, I can't open my mouth without offending someone. Clearly I wasn't thinking when I said the stuff involving Canadian players. I'm sure they are wonderful players.

Sorry for coming off rude lately, but I got several problems of my own lately, with all the work I've had to do for my sim baseball league, and maybe the frustration of still being winless in my NHL 94 online gaming experience is getting to me a little bit.

  3. I'll make my Finnish brothers a deal... Keep the trash talking amongst each other, or with other users here that want to join in "the fun", and I won't keep asking why Sweden p0wns your country on the ice :D

    OWNED. Bad. <3 Addison~!

In all seriousness, I think the lag would be too much for a Finland v. North America match. Consider the distance between Finland, the US, and Canada (if there are any Canadian players)

  4. Setar & S.Stevens! You mustbejoking with that goalie stuff... You cant even call yourself players if you cant play with the goalies.

I have to say, the quality of the players on these sides seems very low. I have to agree with ahola on the fact that 6-7 best players come from finland.

You fins are lucky that I don't want to flame on this site. You guys have pissed me off beyond belief with all the gibberish that comes out of your mouths. I think I speak for the rest of the community when I say that this place would be SO MUCH better off without you. I actually find it rather pathetic that I'm arguing with you.

To add something to this conversation, each player plays the way they want. To criticize people for the way they play is like cheating in the Special Olympics. It just doesn't work.

  5. I'm fiddling around with the 30-team hack (copied the version of the ROM so that I could make my own ratings), and I noticed that the overall team ratings stay very low. Is that normal for the overall team ratings not to change, or is there a way I can change that myself?

BTW, great job on the editor :)

EDIT: I just thought of it. This could be moved to the Editing the Game part of the forum, since we're dealing with my editing of an NHL 94 rom. Sorry that I didn't think about it sooner :)

  6. Nothing wrong with those guys. It is probably a good idea to play in the beginning with better rated guys. That way you learn to score more easily and when time goes on, you can start playngn with lower rated guys. Thenagain, there are guys like adminsorb and clockwise, who are "veteran" players, but they are still using the high rated players when they play. That probably tells something about what sort of players they are, what do you think..?

And finall, i give you huge respect for naming Lazaro allready in your line-up.

Sorry for taking your smiley the wrong way ;)

Destroying the computer with good teams is fun and all, but the real fun for me comes in winning it all with bad teams that only have a few good players.

  7. Hello all. I just got into NHL 94 after screwing around with NHL 95 and 96 with both consoles. As you can tell, my favorite player of all time is Scott Stevens, and I love the New Jersey Devils.

If I ever play online, go easy on me, since I struggle to score/hit/pass. Basically, I'm the Sixty Whiners of NHL '94 (Mutant League Football reference)
