Also, I was investigating http://nhl94hockey.com/as a way to record team stats.
From the looks of it you can only keep a track of ur win/loss record but you do get a box score for each game, so although it wont give you a table with your point scorers' totals, you will have access to the individual game info.
You'll need to register on the site & then use that account to only log games for this league if you want to use it as a stat tracker.
Anyone wanting to take coachmac's team let me know

At last. The inaugural season of the '94 Skill Cap League is ready to begin!
CONCEPT: All teams have had their rosters cut to limit the amount of talent they can have on the ice. In this way the coaches have had to decide how they distribute their best players to produce the most balanced team or the lineup that best suits their playing style.
It's also intended as an introduction to draft leagues for the new players that were invited.
There should be no dominant teams in this league, so the deciding factors will be how each coach has set his team up, & of course who the most skilled player is.
Big big thanks to KingRaph who has set up a brilliant google doc spreadsheet to record all the results & update the standings. It's pretty obvious how to use it when you get on there. Really shows what a great community member King is to do this for us. Thanks again.

Just remember: The league is set to play 6 games vs each opponent (3 home, 3 away). The opening round is the first 4 games. At the end of the opening round we will have a trade & drafting period before the final 2 games & the playoffs are completed in the closing stage, so to begin with you're playing 4 games vs each opponent. No more.

In the UK release on Mega CD there was a cheat code that got you to a secret menu where you could select to activate blood on injuries. Was definitely in there. Fore sure. 100%

Man, what do you say when you meet your God? Even harder to think here because this one actually exists!
First off i'd like to thank him for producing something that had a huge impact on my late childhood & accounted for many hours of fond memories with some of my best friends. It even became the motivation for them to visit me when I lived in New Jersey (I'm English) as an adult. They took a long weekend & transatlantic flights & we played a marathon 94 tourney with a couple of trips to NYC squeezed in around it. lol
For me the most fascinating questions are: 1) Did they know about the weight bug before the games shipped on Genesis (Obviously all 4 of the series)? Was it just that they couldn't work out why Mario sucked & due to time constrictions they just shipped it? They must've realised that something was wrong when Pittsburgh & St. Louis were struggling?
That aside, of course, does he still play it? Has it been a staple of his life for the past 20+ years the way it has for so many who bought it back in the day?

Direct connect is much faster. It's the only way I can play Depch & Fitzo in Scandanavia without a significant delay on button presses.
Also, it's not totally necessarry to configure a static ip`address to use direct. Whenever ur ip changes direct connect will stop working: You just head into your router & disable, then re-enable port forwarding & you go again until the next time the ip changes. It's not really a great drag. After setting up port forwarding the first time it's simple to disable & then enable again. Modern routers have fairly user-friendly menus to set it up & after the first time it's easy once you know.
I would recommend everyone to do it as the connection is much better. For me down here in Mexico it's a noticeable improvement. Maybe if you usually get very low ping with Ham it's less of an issue.

why does it have to be 10-minute periods? when I try for my personal best (around 120, I can do 111 fairly easily), I do it with the cartridge's max, 20-minute periods. seems arbitrary to use a shorter period. and easier. I haven't tried this in a while and I do have a standalone DVD burner, but... nah.
oh, and what are the other "rules" as far as menu choices? not sure why it matters.
Haha. Trudatman you have really set yourself up here. After years of telling us about how you're an incredible player..........................but not interested in online play you now have the perfect opportunity to prove something around here. Get your video posted.................but i'm pretty sure you've already tried & got nowhere near

It's finally here. Try out your teams & let me know about any issues.
King is kindly going to make us a google doc spreadsheet to run the league. We can also use http://nhl94hockey.com/to upload the SS from each game. If each coach registers a new account on the site, which he uses to ONLY UPLOAD OFFICIAL SCL GAMES he will end up with his team & player stats for the season instantly available. In this way we can keep track of top scorers, goals, assists etc.
More to follow on that when we have the google spreadsheet ready & we are set to get underway.
Play a few games with the rom just to make sure everything's OK with your teams & we can look to get going before February.

bump, first round of playoffs = over 4 weeks long. c'man guys, there really is no excuse for this. jesus and pearate have been waiting for weeks now, if these two series aren't finished by Sunday Jan. 4th I'll FF all 4 teams from the play-offs and advance clockwise's Rangers vs Pearate's Capitals to the finals.
Me & Clockwise finished way b4 xmas. Neither of us saved game 4 tho. A 2-1 win for Clockwise needs to be simmed. I have the ss from game 5. Clockwise went on. I did post in the blast group at the time

Congrats to Fitzo who wins in 7 with Quebec.
Amazing series. I was 3-2 up going into game 6. Game 6 & 7 were both tied with a minute to go before Fitzo managed a late surge on both occasions. Congrats.
Although i'm gutted not to have won it, especially having been up heading into game 6 this has been a great season. To get to the finals of my favourite league has definitely been my best achievement here in the community. The league as a whole was the most competitive & most exciting I can ever remember, mainly due to the fact that when it started you had no idea who was going to win it. Fitzo & I were the 5th & 7th seeds respectively. Level competition = More unpredictable & fun leagues. Simple.
Congrats again to Fitzo & good luck in that mighty A league next season! Congrats again to all the B leaguers who made for a classic Blitz season....................................now lets get the Blitz 10 draft going!

Edit: I'd like to nominate Dino Ciccarelli for player of the season. 114 point regular season & then was just incredible throughout the playoffs & very nearly took the 7th seeds all the way to the cup. Not easy playing in a team that wasn't dominant throughout the season.

A question. This month we will be starting the new SCL. We wont have the league on 94online.com so my question is this: If each player in the league signs up on your site & uses it to upload ONLY HIS GAMES FROM THE LEAGUE will it serve as a method to track player stats during the season? I guess im asking if we'll be able to look at each guys stats in isolation from everyone else who uses the site?

As usual I have been super busy at work. Haven't been able to get on & check.
Really hope everyone is going to start getting games in this weekend. As there are no other leagues on it's great competition for you new(er) players
